For three weeks, 14-year-old Hayley Stark has been chatting on-line with 'Lensmaster319', a 32-year old fashion photographer, named Jeff. The two agree to meet at a coffee shop called Nighthawks. They hit it off, despite the massive age difference. Hayley appears to flirt with Jeff, and Jeff generally restrains himself, even admitting that he must wait 4-years until he can be with her. But his reservations are apparently not enough to decline when Hayley all but invites herself over to his house. Once at the house, manipulation becomes the name of the game, and the pedophile seems to be on the non-traditional side of it.

Any fan of Patrick Wilson, who simply must see the film Hard Candy. And I'm
We are not talking about those of you who are fans of his image
Raoul in Phantom of the Opera. I mean the real fans out there
who have seen and loved Angeles in americas, the Alamo, etc., and can
value diversity and depth that shows each function.

This film is very difficult. I will not lie. You all know what the
basic story is about, and it is hard to imagine how any actor who has
barely one foot in the door of Hollywood to choose a film that is so controversial
and unnerving. The fact is that Hard Candy
well written, acted and surprisingly. The story is not as difficult
believe, if they are willing to accept a child 14 years of age may be so diabolical
. Hayley, played to perfection by newcomer Ellen Page, is not
a normal teenager, and she is anything but a victim in this movie.

Without giving away anything important to the story, I will simply say that this
disturbing nature of this film is purely psychological. You
see anything "inappropriate" and the talks between Jeff and Hayley
stay in the realm of decent.

The bottom line is that Hard Candy is an excellent film, which will fazer Cree you, and I wonder, and reflect, and asked, and after discussing long
to leave theatre. I've seen that in Park City two months ago, and I
still questioning the results. For me, that is the mark of an exceptional
film.
