Hal Ashby

On the face of it, this was always going to be a film treatment.
Hal Ashby, who I believe had the greatest sense of humor in Hollywood
the direction of Peter Sellers, one of the best comic actors of all time.

what I did not expect was an excellent supporting cast
with superb performances by Shirley MacLaine and Melvyn Douglas and a water
script Kosinski. What gave me the greatest pleasure was
Ashby's subtle portrait of his own policy. Sellers'
place and the place is set against, in the beginning, at least, images of the socially deprived
. In most movies Ashby there is a strong sense of anti-establishment
but what is brilliant in this movie is that Ashby
gets inside the establishment to the ridiculous, yet at the same
achieved through a strong sense of humanity in the richest countries in the character
isolation and loneliness.

policy or not perfect pace Ashby bring the best sellers
whose film career, Strangelove hand, was beaten and lost. This film is
definitely a success of the most underrated filmmaker in Hollywood has never had the arrogance
forget to lose.
To know that Peter Sellers spent the last ten years of his life
dedicated to the production of this movie, reluctantly taking sides in the series of Pink Panther
to earn enough money to do so, the dedication is sufficient to
tell you that this movie meant a lot to sellers.

It is sad that sellers died just one year after completing the film, which
for me is a testament to his talent.

be there was not a successful film, in fact, many people have never heard of this
. If you have not seen, track down. It is one of the most touching
movies I've ever seen.

Bad Day at Black Rock

Download Bad Day at Black Rock
(drama, thriller, western)
Download Movie Bad Day at Black RockJohn J. Macreedy doesn't know it, but when he steps off the train at the jerkwater town of Black Rock, he will soon find himself the object of fear, hatred, and even a murder plot! The altruistic Macreedy came to Black Rock to hand over a posthumous military award to a local man whose son had died gallantly in the Second World War. What Macreedy couldn't know when he stepped off of that train was that the town had a shameful secret, one that must be kept at all costs.

Spencer Tracy as John J. Macreedy
Robert Ryan as Reno Smith
Anne Francis as Liz Wirth
Dean Jagger as Sheriff Tim Horn
Walter Brennan as Doc T.R. Velie Jr.
John Ericson as Pete Wirth
Ernest Borgnine as Coley Trimble
Lee Marvin as Hector David
Russell Collins as Telegrapher Mr. Hastings
Walter Sande as Cafe Proprietor Sam
Harry Harvey as First Train Conductor
Francis McDonald as Cafe Patron
John Sturges

Spencer Tracy leads a great cast so admired in this drama that takes place
in the West. It is a rare treat to see Tracy and Robert Ryan in the same
film, with scenes together. Two really first-class veterans, with exemplary
acting career achievements.

The tight script, solid direction (by John Sturges), a powerful score (by
André Previn) and outstanding cinemascope photography combine to elevate
"Bad Day at Black Rock "to a place among the great movies.

One really can not fully apprecitate this movie in a regular size and pan-scan -
screen, and even the letterbox version does not adequately convey the impact of its original
moviehouse cinemascope presentation. One can only
today to try to imagine the original. However, a fine film can overcome format,
and "Bad Day" still packs a punch Whopper.
"Bad Day at Black Rock" is a film rarely seen these days, and it is a shame because
this little 81 minute film is packed with a lot of
action, none of which come special effects, or shoot outs. John Sturges directed
carefully, and it shows. Most
photography was done in Lone Pine, California, where cinematographer William Mellor
was able to capture the dusty atmosphere of the city and its environs
with its majestic beauty. André Previn provided the musical score
that serves the film.

Basically this is the story of one man, John Macreedy, who arrives unexpectedly
to a place totally dominated by a local bad boy, Reno
Smith and his lackeys. Smith rules on this small outpost of the West
with a tight fist. The least we want is Macreedy poking its nose in
something he wants to keep a secret.

Since Reno Smith practically "owns" the city, the names of
who wants to be the sheriff, a simple figure. Smith knows immediately on the new
arrival in the city because it seems that everyone works for him. Macreedy
wants to visit a Japanese man, whose son has saved his life in war,
but unknown to him, has been dead for quite some time.

Macreedy seems to be a symbol of justice finally arriving to the city. The
just another man who sympathizes with what Macreedy is trying to do is
the veterinarian / MORTICIAN of the city, Doc Veli, which demonstrates the
end, it is up to task. Macreedy prevails in the final.

The film is basically a shot long and medium shots, which somehow contributes to the spread
most expressions of the actors in the film.
Cinemascope, with its elongated technique does not make things better, as
most situations seem to disappear into the origins
sees a glorious. Mr Sturges does not use close-ups in the film to accentuate
some situations, but should be helped to achieve greater participation
viewer in the picture.

Spencer Tracy makes interesting work in the film. Mr Tracy was fifty
four years old when the filming was done, but it seemed much larger.
Robert Ryan, an excellent actor is good as the evil Reno Smith. Walter Brennan
Veli Doc played with his usual charm. Ernest Borgnine, Lee Marvin, Dean Jagger and John Ericson
are effective under Mr Sturges'.

Download Movie This Is Spinal TapMarti DeBergi is a film-maker who decides to make a documentary, a rockumentary actually, about the world's loudest band, the British heavy metal group Spinal Tap. The movie is in fact a biting satire and spoof of the whole rock and roll scene that passes itself off as a real documentary of a real band. Hilarious behind-the-scenes footage is combined with faux-concert clips to breath life into the imaginary group.

Having regard by many as the favorite cult classic (along with "The Rocky Horror Picture Show

masterpiece. The Rockumentary false sobre la banda Spinal Tap
seems so honest and serious that the slightest joke gets a big laugh. We
la banda along with a documentary filmmaker, played by the director Rob Reiner
, on a tour you must make sure you will return. We
some of its shows, where things go wrong, we see how they argue
on the cover of his album, and we see a bride nearly destroys

The film deals with all these events as serious as possible,
presenting himself as a real documentary about a real banda. The fact that the banda
members are not too bright makes it fun. Especially the scene where
the singer talks about an amplifier that goes to eleven in place of
ten and, therefore, produces stronger sounds is hilarious. The scene where
la banda touches on a stage Stonehenge is a classic, very memorable.

'The Simpsons' TV show is the best in the business of plot twists, reversals
outrageous, whiplash and a satire of the line, doing the best
episodes as the satisfaction of the majority large quantity of films. Topping that - or even that
matching - with the long-awaited film was always going to be a challenge

I have been entertained but the truth is nothing more than a half-episode series
. The rich tradition of Springfield and background characters
is pushed aside to focus on the family itself, with too
Homer in particular - yes, I never thought I would say that, but it's true.

love 'The Simpsons' for his frenetic pace, but that "s clear here
writers struggled with the structure of a longer format. Possibly a
Robert Altman / 'Nashville' approach has worked better, or perhaps
something like "It's a Mad, Mad, Mad, Mad World", which allows us to see < br> the wide variety of characters and more support, more generally

The decision to focus almost exclusively on one's family brought
the television program of the occasional tendency to sentimentality - Colin & Lisa
? He spent nothing. Flanders and Bart? Do not buy for one second.
Oval Office scenes? Rainer Wolfcastle would have been fun, or GWB
passing the ball a little edgier. This is not meant to be the Waltons! More

game with the same format film would have been welcome
too - the opening of Itchy & Scratchy "sequence and the response of Homer was
great, but as proved, too little and too early for the film
rarely ventured from the straight and narrow in the future. Maybe Terry Gilliam to direct
Simpsons II?

early rumors (some time ago, I know) suggested the Simpsons Movie
would be the last word on the show, but the
commitment to another couple of seasons in the movie who lost seat - of-the-pants,
- anything could happen-edge. I really believe the team should have a
last hurra with a final film. Just do not try to jump the shark -
explosion out of the water!

Get radical, boys - that is when you are in your best!
After a tremendous accumulation of advertising and comments
acquired by NewsCorp, The Simpsons Movie turns out to be nothing more than a 85 minute episode
the end of season Simpsons.

Like the latter seasons, the film is cruel and lacking
intelligent humor. It does not contain only very thoughtful parody and satire
trite. Many of the jokes are children, including cartoons on Saturday mornings
standards. Slapstick and toilet humor can not keep a good time
television, let alone a long feature film. No
complex subtext, no (intelligence) obscure references, not
hilarious musical numbers and not intricate visual humor. Many jokes are recycled
of older episodes are still very crudely together (similar looking
that the family is arrested, Snow White parody
that is strangely similar to the much more well done Little Mermaid parody years ago,

The characters are, at this time, gross caricatures of themselves
10 years ago. Homer, originally a dimwitted yet
very caring father and husband, has become a raging lunatic brainless. Lisa, usually
the voice of reason and compassion, has been reduced to an intellectual who never steps outside his
Soapbox liberal. Bart, formerly the bad boy bad
intelligent student with a hidden heart rate has become a mini-Homer,
drinking problem. Marge, a complex woman with a passion for motherhood,
has become a miserable shell of a character, only raise their voices
to nag. Other characters have lost all
complexity or simply not used. Even when these characters appear, they receive less screen time
beyond "BooB lady" or "crazy cat lady" or "Spider pork" or "Irish musician
kid" or "EPA Guy "(voiced by Albert Brooks, the same person who expressed a position
much more intriguing villain, Hank Scorpio). Some even
characters were sacrificed in the name of cheap political humor
(Wolfcastle Reiner).

The plot is a disgusting, twisted mess. The pig, a horrible idea of
start, is quickly discarded. The tension between Homer and Bart and Homer and Marge
is without inspiration and forced (Marge
recording during the wedding video was clearly a failed attempt to recover the mood and emotional depth
an actual Simpsons episode ). The main argument, not to mention being preachy
incredibly, is recycled plots monté season 12-17.
I want to say that I could have written a better movie, but this is only partially correct
; nobody could have written a better movie. Sorry
but I can not remember many details as I mentally blocked out
most of the film to reduce the chance of permanent brain damage.

I just see the film of Hairspray in the 5 th Avenue Theatre in Seattle
- the same theater where the musical premiered hair
five years ago. Maybe I just dizzied by the dashing good looks
of Zac Efron, but the magic that took place on the stage of the original
Hairspray cast has transferred seamlessly to the big screen.

I could not have asked for more. Nikki Blonsky beautifully
premiered as the spunky and voluptuous Tracy Turnblad. John Travolta delivered.
Christopher Walken was charming and fun. Queen Latifah was "big, black
, and beautiful. "Michelle Pfeiffer - the perfectly obnoxious ...
list goes on.

The candy colored costumes and choreography were so exciting
pleasant, and even the most serious parts of the film (though there are very few
!) touching and sincere.

The only thing I wanted was included was the song "Mama
I'ma Big Girl Now. "Although it would have been a great addition,
another big song and dance numbers performed along the film well.

I caught my smiling like a Buffoon more than once. A must see for music lovers
- or someone who simply likes to have fun.
Just come back and the premiere was a surprising film. I was not expecting
they are comparable to Broadway but it's amazing. The
casting was really well done, the sets are very well decorated.
Costumes were impressive. Travolta is an excellent Edna.
It is definitely worth seeing. Laugh your head out fun. Music and
performances throughout the world had the theater or dance
touching his feet. If you want to have fun, go see this movie. You are going to dance all the way home
. I think this will be one of the best movies of the summer
and certainly deserves some prizes. I can not wait to be released
to enable it to all my friends and family.

Todd Field

Todd Field, director of the bedroom''participación''en once
has once again made a fine image, worthy of Oscar buzz. Little Children''''es
even better than his last film and is the best drama of the
year. 2006 is proving to be the best year for cinema.

The story is superb. In a quiet community, Sarah (Kate Winslet,
Oscar-deserving), Lucy's mother, she realizes her life is nowhere near what they
she wanted it to be. Meanwhile, Brad (Patrick Wilson, worthy of
Communication), married to Kathy (Jeniffer Conelly, great) and father of
Aaron, also seems dissatisfied with his life. One day in the pool,
accompanied by their small children, Sarah and Brad notice each other.
This is the beginning of a forbidden love.

This is a powerful, mature film that draws the audience's attention
the beginning. Todd Field improved their abilities to lead the maximum
he makes the camera: a look at the sins and secrets of
society. With memorable-and shocking consequences,''niños''es
a masterpiece.

could When you see the performance of Kate Winslet wrong? She is a total
Oscar contender as the role of a parent who finds an opportunity to
be completely happy. She is courageous, strong, and really impressive.
One of my favorites so far. Patrick Wilson also delivers and finds a role to
can define his career and open more doors for their future. Jennifer
Conelly is also big, along with Noah Emmerich retired as a policeman.
Jackie Earle Haley completes the list of superb actors.

In conclusion, I decir''Little Children''va
to come full throttle in the awards season. A film worthy of his spunk, his power,
and all its infinite ringing. A masterful adaptation of a Tom Perrotta
Director Todd Field satirized Western society and exposes our
fundamental flaw as a society. We are a country of
self-righteous hypocrites that the banda together to crush evil wherever it can find, but
overlook our own weaknesses.

The story at one level is too trivial: the changing scene to scene
exposing the triviality of everyday life. However, it should be
disturbing sound of a train approaching. Are we witnessing a train wreck
? The brilliant use of a narrator introduces us to the ranks of the belief that
this is just a children's story and nothing bad will happen. However,
our eyes are glued to the screen as we are waiting for the accident.

Jackie Earle Haley as Ronnie explains everything that is wrong with our
modern world and everything that is right in character acting. The
gives a performance highlighted certainly worthy of Oscar consideration.
The figure represents an evil stranger in our community, one that
must be sought and destroyed. His character is sometimes
sympathetic, even adorable and other horrific and sometimes threatening.

But that is more detestable? Ronnie Is it or is it the
infinitely boring (but beautiful) adulterers, Sarah (Kate Winslet) or
Brad (Patrick Wilson)? Is it up to us to judge? If we do, are we not being
like the suburban community that is the metaphor for our society? In
thus director Todd Field includes us in the movie if we
or not. This is a wonderful (train) ride that will keep us talking for days
. It is one of this year's big movies.

Download Movie The Last King of ScotlandIn the early 1970s, Nicholas Garrigan, a young semi-idealistic Scottish doctor, comes to Uganda to assist in a rural hospital. Once there, he soon meets up with the new President, Idi Amin, who promises a golden age for the African nation. Garrigan hits it off immediately with the rabid Scotland fan, who soon offers him a senior position in the national health department and becomes one of Amin's closest advisers. However as the years pass, Garrigan cannot help but notice Amin's increasingly erratic behavior that grows beyond a legitimate fear of assassination into a murderous insanity that is driving Uganda into bloody ruin. Realizing his dire situation with the lunatic leader unwilling to let him go home, Garrigan must make some crucial decisions that could mean his death if the despot finds out.

"Last King of Scotland" is a slickly made
powder keg of a movie about Idi Amin (Forest Whitaker) most horrific dictatorship in Uganda
the 1970's as seen through the eyes of his
fictionalized Scottish doctor (James McAvoy). Whitaker is mesmerizing the word "go" and
brilliantly shows how a character captivating Amin was charming,
theatrical, paranoid and crazy as hell.

director Kevin MacDonald only alludes to the horrors (300000
massacred), while delivering a music video-style account
free wheels decadence of the regime of Amin, while he still played in favour
his people. Much of the film runs as the first parts of PT Anderson
"Boogie Nights" or any gangster saga Scrorsese:
hyper-edited, without firing representing scenes of humor, violence, sex,
nudity, and indulged too new people with money and power. This has been more
highest concentration had been paid to Amin
instead quite unlike the medical, which mostly comes
to be like a flighty, more educated Twite with fog in good
facts and ideas uncontrollable hormones that lead to it after each hounding
marginally attractive married woman who comes through, including a barely recognizable
Gillian Anderson dressing British accent, and Kerry Washington
Amin as the third wife (duh, Doc!).

About two-thirds of the way through, MacDonald allows Whitaker loose, and
his rampage is impressive. It culminates in a late pulse with force -
white-knuckle twenty minutes to muddle a historic event in relation to Israeli Hostages
with outrageously brutal end of young Scott
stay in Uganda. Once again, it has been more emotionally involved
the doctor had been more worthy of our sympathy. Still, Whitaker is
smoky and unforgettable. The fully embodies the spirit of the
frequently discussed and debated crazy dictator, so much so that when the
closing credits roll and we see a balance of the actual scenes Amin, the more you swear it was
Images of Forest Whitaker playing Idi Amin.
There have been so few pictures that stand out this year. This
the film is one of them. Much of what you see is true, and
occurred in the history of Uganda. Amin's doctor, played by James Macavoy, is the main
fiction in film, but one would think you're seeing a
historic event. Macavoy's character is so real. The doctor grows
thinking free affair, womanizer, a fear, concerned
and enlightened person. The viewer looks through Macavoys
eyes as he witnessed the horrors of Amin (Forest Whitaker) and Chair

Forest Whitaker, ES Amin in this role. Whitaker is not the silence
sometimes brooding character to remind other films that has been
in. His accent, his face, his emotions and no longer seem to be
Whitaker, but Amin. This film will scare the viewer
because of its realism, and how it builds up a tension that is difficult to bear. The visuals are not
for apprehensive. Go ahead and hide their eyes during
the "hard" scenes. It is still worth seeing this film for the rapid pace
history, realistic drama, a fascinating tale, and for
incredible acting. At the end of the movie the audience is exhausted, but
convinced they saw a good movie.

doing what it does. Just as Big Tobacco (for whom it is a pressure group)
launches a campaign to restore the "cool smoking" in the image
mainstream Hollywood, Nick and sent to work for a producer

to see "how dad works" pending bond with him.

Good satire are hard to find, but Reitman "Thank You for Smoking"
is so wet with sarcasm and humor with the drip that it is impossible not to enjoy
. It navigates the rapid industry, the art of talking
spoofs and the fight against smoking with their camp Chiché "of cancer patients
children in a wheelchair" front (as shown in the scene Opening of the film), and
explores the moral flexibility of Americans without preaching too
in the possibility of doing so. Only once does it fall prey to predictable moral messages, as
when Nick begins to reassess his work and have moral misgivings
after his abduction by the anti-smoking group, only one-time down

Although the film is peppered with equally fun and a perfect line
delivery of its cast, the best scene is when the MOD are in his restaurant staff

fight over whose activity kills the most people per year.
Nick: "How many alcohol-related deaths per day? 100,000? That is what ...

" That's stupid to argue. "Aaron Eckhart is also hilarious in all < br> a businessman murky way (I now have a big crush on him).
Of all the cast, only Nick's little boy Joe strangles the well-written lines.

In fact, even the cinematography is well developed in the film ...
just how a short scene to another deserves credit, with a rapid-fire opening
ironic note. Speaking of that, "Thank You" 's opening
mounting cigarette packets as credits is a stroke of genius in
Reitman's part. The same applies to the various options of casting - the amount of
respected actors who have been crowded into support functions in
impressive (Robert Duvall, Sam Elliot, William H. Macy) and lead

Having said that, I would not call this "laugh-out-loud worthy" exactly
and I do not care to stop but it is clear that a lot of thought
has been put into Thank You for Smoking - each line is a well-articulated
kick up the ass for something and delivered by the bucket-load. A very nice little

Wow, the return of employees, by the way! I went to a pre-selection last night
Secretaries II and let me say that was really very good. The
title, as Smith explains, has been simplified to undersell
movie for fans and moviegoers in general will be pleasantly surprised when they see
. So here is my contribution to the word of mouth advertising
: If you liked anything about Secretaries I go see Clerks II.
Over the same thing, and then some, and then some more. I have always been
hit-or-miss with Kevin Smith and, unfortunately, remains the original employees
my favorite group. And this film is his best yet. (In fact,
only way I can appreciate "Mallrats" is watching with
audio commentary.) To me, Smith is much fun when alone
add-libbing. He said that during his Q & A last night,
who spends more time in this movie in pre-production that all other movies combined
and it shows. I am sure that was a joke, but this movie is really
well written, well acted (especially the Rosary, which she is topping
going to do this movie sell), and only then in thinking < br>. Good pace (especially with sight gags, one after another
) and the Decalogue I've come to appreciate is priceless.
Like the argument on which the franchise is better "Volver" film;
"The Lord of The Rings" or "Star Wars". Clerks II has become
my favorite movie of the summer and I hope that becomes the sleeper hit of summer
because it is just that good. Oh, and Kevin, if you're reading this,
feel about the title, I am sure that reflected on him. Maybe if it had not already used
"Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back"?
Clerks II is a worthy successor to Kevin Smith's 1994 debut, "Clerks" ..

The continuation of the adventures of Dante and Randal, along with the speed
dialogue witty, insightful and poignant social commentary to view several

There's a lot of dirty jokes necessary, but improve the golden
Centre for the film. I laughed and I cried in many of these moments.
But mostly, I watched two characters that had grown to grow
themselves and deal with some of the problems I have faced since I left
being a slacker teenager to an adult. It reminded me of a better time in my life
, and also reminded to look ahead.

Brian O'Halloran called Dante outside the door, with the tone
perfect delivery. I think this is still the Dante knew that - only a bit higher
. Jeff Anderson takes Randal already amazing character, and
leads to a new level. Randal becomes even fun - and more
touch. Trevor Fehrman's Elias adds the perfect foil for Randal

proving that Jason Mewes is back in top form, and enjoying

Download Movie Spider-Man 2Peter Parker (Tobey McGuire) can't seem to catch any kind of break. Being Spiderman has brought him nothing but problems as far as his personal life is concerned. Not only that, Mary Jane Watson (Kirsten Dunst) is engaged to astronaut John Jameson, and Peter may lose her forever. Things are so bad for him that he is pushed past his breaking point, so he decides that he doesn't want to be Spiderman anymore, until a freak accident transforms Dr. Otto Octavius into Dr. Octopus, a super-villian with four metal tentacles coming out of him. Peter realizes that only Spiderman can stop him, but of course, problems arise. Mary Jane gets caught in the middle, and Harry Osborn, who still blames Spiderman for the death of his father, Norman Osborn, also the Green Goblin, wants him dead. Spiderman will have to push himself past his limits if he's going to survive.

Before starting, let me say that I thought Spider-Man 2 was superior in every way possible to
Spider-Man 1, but one.

Honestly, I do not know what it was about Spider-Man 2
that I found missing. While it is a better movie with great effects,
great performances, well-conceived plot elements, and beautiful film shots,
still felt "flat" compared with Spider-Man 1. Maybe it was the
fact that Peter had to deliver the mask this time. Or maybe
is that he wants to be with MJ so bad, but can not find the intestinal fortitude
to be happy and a superhero. Or it could be that I expected much more
with a budget of $ 61M increase. Whatever the dilemma, apparently
was considered by another movie attendance since the change that increased
budget was reduced by $ 23m from the first installment.

This was like Superman 2 in which our hero chooses to be a land given to
human being with the girl he loves, discovers that there is a new threat and immediately regretted her decision
. Perhaps that was why it felt "flat".
has been done. But then again, what is not? This was a history Superior
with superior effects and action sequences that seemed realistic
played in place of CGI mess that was the first time.

coming clean with Peter Aune Mae is a scene hard to see.
Was a brave step on the part of nature, and Aunt Mae
reacted much the way I hoped she was given a tone credible to the scene.

The villain this time is done very well. Gone is the camp
the first term treatment of nemesis, and enters into an age
Senior CGI. After Spider-Man 1 of the Green Goblin, I was frankly
reluctant to see this chapter. I'm glad now that I have. Doc ock
malevolently is beautiful in both design and execution.
I thoroughly enjoyed his character.

While the first Spider-Man rates a 7.4 (IMDb) and received two Oscar nominations and
Spider-Man 2 received none (but curiously, receives a
7 , 9 qualifying here at IMDb) the second installment was definitely top
the original in every way remarkable. However, less crude with a higher budget
and received no special effects as Oscar nominations
lower Spider-Man 1 did, which leads me to believe that the lack
element, regardless of whether may be affected beyond this movie
Fiend. Fees

a 8.2/10 ...

A cut above the typical movie comics, SM 1 did what this type of
the film is supposed to do: present the main characters, have 'em fight
Super Bad Guy, and then have it all end happily ever after, for the most
. In other words, for the first movie in a supposed franchise,
you have to allow time for the exhibition of the history of the protagonist, even if
million already know him from another medium.

SM 2, however, this requirement is not necessary. We have fulfilled
Spidey, MJ, Aunt May, et al. And we are ready to jump into a new story.
So while the first explained why it is Spidey, the second film
devotes more time to the fight against Bad Guy du Jour, Doctor Octopus.

Peter Parker (Tobey Maguire) still pines for MJ (Kirsten Dunst), who steers clear of
despite their undying affection for her. It
for its own sake, says it himself. If we are together, my enemies top
nothing to get me through it, and I can not put in that position
. And so, in typical fashion superhero,
offspring and offspring and offspring. The relentless push-and-pull between his love for MJ and
his devotion to use their powers for good is a constant theme in the
Spider-Man universe, and in movies, either in Smolders < br> background or positions with a raging fury at the forefront.
Peter is given the impossible choice - true love or good deeds - and is a
election to which, at its core, people can relate, we all have
extremely difficult to make choices along our life.

And in this particular film success. Peter Parker is supposed to be
an average child - well, except for those powers he has. The
not morally superior. Failure is more intelligent. He is just a poor schlub who has accidentally
these great powers, and not enough to know how
deal with them. On a smaller scale, a comparison can be made to a
extremely talented soccer player of the college just made the
pros. He has otherworldly talents. Have money, fame, fortune. And
that can handle it? About as well as Peter can.

Anyway, the great villain in this case is that Doc ock (
Alfred Molina), another in a long list of good scientific ido wrong. You
It is recalled that the Green Goblin of HM the first film was also
this line. This Doc has found a way to manipulate
metallic tentacles with your mind. (It helps that the tentacles attached to the physical
him.) Something goes wrong, goes crazy, and the next thing you know it,
he will take over the world. Give these guys a Happy Meal, and that he had still want
two awards.

Along with the inevitable Spidey-Doc ock battles, Peter Parker
best friend Harry (James Franco) is still quite resentful as Spidey's
murder of his father in the first film. He did not know
Peter is Spider-Man, but only he knows Peter is able to take pictures of him.
hence, the second thematic struggle is inside Harry - resent
his friend to find out the murderer (in their eyes) from her father? All
cast returns from the first film (well, everyone who survived the first film
), and they all do a good job collectively. Maguire is a perfect choice to lead
; is unassuming, can not really emotive, is stoicism, and
even a little wimpy. All are qualities that plague the characters
both Spider-Man and Peter Parker.

Download Movie CasinoThis Martin Scorsese film depicts the Janus-like quality of Las Vegas—it has a glittering, glamorous face, as well as a brutal, cruel one. Ace Rothstein and Nicky Santoro, mobsters who move to Las Vegas to make their mark, live and work in this paradoxical world. Seen through their eyes, each as a foil to the other, the details of mob involvement in the casinos of the 1970's and '80's are revealed. Ace is the smooth operator of the Tangiers casino, while Nicky is his boyhood friend and tough strongman, robbing and shaking down the locals. However, they each have a tragic flaw—Ace falls in love with a hustler, Ginger, and Nicky falls into an ever-deepening spiral of drugs and violence.

As a lifelong player who has crossed paths with some marginal rates
portrayed in the film, I am very conscious of history, culture, environment and
Tangier, the fictional Casino in the
Control of Sam "Ace" Rothstein (Robert DeNiro). Rothstein is not a mafia member
, but a "Moneymaker" for them because he is the nation's best sports
handicapped. It is refreshing for a movie that finally
show that not all players are fools, but instead one that takes advantage of the
which are many.

Rothstein's partner in crime is Nicky Santoro (Joe Pesci), which is much less convincing
like a mobster than he seems to believe.
Sharon Stone plays the psychotic Ginger, once in a lifetime role in
that was the only time in my life I have been able to see your movie.
The supporting cast is strong, headed by James Woods and Don Rickles
(excellent in their ability dramatic), and the film is generally well-acted

If you're a player or know "wiseguy" culture, film
not have to be explained, whereas if not, you feel as if they had encountered the
secret meeting instead of the mafia and private
what is said, without anyone knowing you were there. This film is basa
in the true story of what happened when the crowd tried to put his men
suits them and have a Casino game, and why has never been tried
since. The tribute to the incestuous nature of politics
Nevada was an excellent touch.

Most of us would not like a guy just like Sam Rothstein, nor be
we like him, but if we go to Las Vegas for a weekend and stay in a Casino / hotel
We will have a better experience if your gaze is to ensure that our
is a pleasant stay. The film's winking at how Vegas has been sanitized
since those days it was also necessary, and reflects an era lost in sadness, when the baby
(the "old school" types who made great Vegas) was
thrown out with the bath water (organized crime influences).
Casino is a very good movie. If you're at all interested in
gangster / mafia movies, or if you're at all a fan of director / co-writer
Martin Scorsese, novelist / co-writer Nicholas Pileggi, or actors Robert
De Niro, Joe Pesci, Sharon Stone and James Woods, then
Casino is without doubt a must-see. I am a great fan of De Niro, and I am a fan of Scorsese
and Woods, too. Since then, enjoy the film.

But I do not think that Casino is far from a "perfect" film. An 8-10
may seem high, but if you're familiar with my reviews, you know
that is not higher than a score on my part - is closer to the average
me. There are a lot of failures here, and I will spend some time
pointing out, especially since the film receives so many 10.

Casino se basa en la historia de Frank "Lefty" Rosenthal and
Stardust Casino in Las Vegas. The character Rosenthal is here
the name of Sam "Ace" Rothstein and is played by De Niro. The hotel became the Tangier
for the film. The mob backs Rothstein, but you have to create a false front
Rothstein, while "secretly" runs the hotel, because his game
charges back East. The falls in love and marries former
Hooker / call-girl and current Vegas Hustler Ginger McKenna (Stone), which
remains in love with her pimp, Lester Diamond (Woods). Meanwhile, mobs
strong-arm Nicky Santoro (Pesci) to protect the heads of Vegas
Rothstein, but finally ends and running his own rackets
trying to take over the city. Casino is the story of the relationship
and political problems that this cast of characters and a series of
Associates in running. It's like a path to progressive destruction of
everyone involved.

The film is unusual in many respects. The most striking oddity is that a large part of
she said through alternating narration of the two main characters
, Rothstein and Santoro. The aim was probably to include a much more
of Pileggi's book, in a most literal way, that would have been
possible through more conventional means. Significantly, the
narrative works, as well as he does, especially since a lot of
is given a rapid-fire delivery. For at least the first 15 minutes,
is just a pause in the dialogue narrational.

One of the reasons why it is not because the work style that used to accompany Scorsese
at the opening. It employs a lot of quick cuts, while presenting
very stylized, documentary-like footage. The opening
feels as much fun as a behind the scenes to see how the typical Casino
works as it feels like a fiction film about gangsters.

Finally, the film develops from almost 100% of narration hardly
narration (although the story never completely leaves the film).
This is so subtle that one barely notices. Scorsese as director of
also rapidly evolving style of the court documentary approach
something more conventional.

This is fine, but on the other hand, the gradual evolution
can only happen because the film is so long - that clocks in just a couple minutes shy
3 hours. That's a bit too long for the story to be told.
At least in half, began to feel a little draggy. All
equipment needed for the story, but it could have been more rigorous

Another unusual aspect is the score / banda sonora, which consists
first pop success of a broad space of time - 30 years or more. Despite that
like the songs - I've owned the CD because it came out and listen to him
often enough - the songs and can help set the mood for some scenes,
be a bit too relentless and authoritarian in history after a while.
is beginning to approach the dreaded "mix tape" mentality, where the songs are
exists only because the director wanted to share with you some bitchin 'tunes
who likes a lot. A bit of ebb and flow with the music, and music
better correlation with the drama, who have worked even better.

Presumably, Scorsese is shooting for something like a sensory assault,
because it's what you get in Las Vegas. The visual
are full of neon lights, flashy clothing (I love Rothstein Clothing), and striking people
such. La banda sonora is probably meant to equalize. But in this case, if I
goes, I think we have to ido a combination of
commissioned music incorporates a lot of sounds Casino, or
imitated a lot of sounds Casino -- The cacophonous symphony of electronic
various machines constantly go through each other's way - with schmaltzy songs
show, Liza wing, Jerry Vale, Tom Jones, Wayne Newton, etc. That

Scorsese was trying to give a Vegas style sensory assault
is also supported by audio-visual contrast between the scenes footage
Vegas and elsewhere, as Kansas City. So I can understand the motivation
, but I am not sure that the final outcome exactly worked.

of course, the performances are exceptional, even if everyone is playing
rate, except perhaps Woods. The plot and characters are written and
takes place so that the viewer can see disaster coming
way before the characters can - and that's how it should be. For example,
as a spectator, you know as soon as it starts is a bad idea for
Rothstein to kowtow to McKenna to win her hand in marriage, but Rothstein
is blind in love and finish paying for it. All
develops almost a little predictable in this sense, and another mild
flaw is that it demonstrated the penultimate moment of the film to
right at the outset. It tends to make you feel even more stretched,
if you have the anticipation of that scene.

But the slight defects should not stop anyone from seeing this film, and
of course, a good number of viewers feel that there are no defects at all.

I loved Star Wars as a child. i grew disenchanted with the new trilogy. i
was prepared for another disappointment.

i was surprised to see that things really come together. 'Sith' has a
coherent story, well told, good rhythm. the film is full of fireworks, but
always support the progression of the story, I felt nothing
unnecessary as some things in the first episodes.
the characters are all solid. some were even larger. There were quiet moments
slow pace that makes sense, felt right.
the transformation of the characters came across as well. conflicts are complex, multifaceted personalities are
. this film takes a lot more weight than
episodes 1 and 2.

not everyone is happy. There are currently weak, is
wooden dialogue, there is no romance involved. However, for most of the audience, yet
hard core Star Wars believers, this film works.
is great entertainment, and it ties in very well with episodes 4-6. the sense of disconnect
people felt that with episodes 1 and 2 se ha ido.
you want to go home and see 'new hope "after seeing" Revenge of the Sith
Spoilers minors the future!

Yes, I got to catch the advanced detection
the long-awaited final episode of the Star Wars saga, here in Northern California.

All I can say is WOW! This is the best action sequences of any of the six films
Star Wars! The battle sequences initially with stars
Jedi fighters and separatist forces is by far the most spectacular
sequence of special effects ever put to film.

fall of Anakin to the dark side starts after an opponent of his
is murdered, which attracts more and more toward the dark side of the Force

Anakin and Obi-Wan spend the first half of the movie trying to stop the
Clone Wars between the Republic and the forces Separtist.

Acting wise, Heyden Christensen does a much better job this time
portray the darker Anakin Skywalker as he heads towards its destination,
all of the wood of Anakin The Phantom Menace and El Attack of the Clones
is finally free of their shackles on this occasion.

Ewan McGregor, excellent as always does a great job portraying Obi-Wan Kenobi as
jedi master knows that his pupil is in charge of the dark side

Natalie Portman does a great job portraying Padme Amidala as the tragic
Anakin's wife who knows that the Republic and her husband are slowly drifting
beyond. Padma the final scene is heartbreaking to say the least
and adds some serious emotional impact towards the end of the film

however, the real thief is Ian McDiarmand scene that does an excellent job portraying the kindness
Supreme Chancellor Palpatine, as well as other
important character in this movie.

The new villain, General Grievous, is cool, but I liked Jango Fett and Darth Maul
a little more. It is not too serious in the film, but when he
and Obi-Wan are fighting on the planet Utapau, is the war on a large scale
, with Obi-Wan riding this big lizard and mount this Grivous
Wheels of the vehicle. While this is happening, Anakin grows even closer
toward the dark side, with fit of rage and jealousy toward his fellow
jedi and to the Republic.

In this movie you can see how all jedi are exterminated, which finally passes
Padma, the mother of Luke and Leia, how Anakin becomes Darth Vader
, and how the collapse of the Republic becomes the first
Galactic Empire. Warning however, the change of Anakin to Darth Vader is quite afraid
and certainly bothers to smallest! Wow, Lucas has done, and
made a successful relationship to the original film Star Wars, A New
hope! One of the bits is more cool to see the Tantive IV, Bail Organa's
rebel blockade runner, A New Hope in action towards the end of
Revenge of the Sith.

finally get to see Alder, and Chewbacca the wookie,
for the first time since the classic films, and the best bet, only a brief glimpse of
Jar Jar Binks towards the end of the film during a very important

The final confrontation between Anakin and Obi-Wan on the planet
Mustafa, a planet of lava, as well as the final duel between Yoda and Darth Sidious
difference is the best lightsaber battles
any of the films so far, and his tragic end only highlight the impact of
developments in the film!

Although I am to see the film Star Wars come to an end
, Lucas has come to an end the saga of Star Wars in great fashion. All of John Williams has
music pieces previous prequels
and some elements of the classic movie tie Revenge of the Sith
with the other five films in the saga.

Now, I am more excited than ever for the upcoming television series,
which takes place just after the events of Revenge of the Sith! Here's hoping that
Revenge of the Sith, strokes compared to the Titanic as the highest
extrapolation of films of all time!

David Lynch

Wow, what a strange movie. It is a film by David Lynch so it's no surprise that
is rare.

I defy anyone to explain absolutely everything in this movie. I can not be done
. After some research after my second viewing of this movie, I know
well over history, but at first glance, and unaided
reviewers or other outside help, it is hard to imagine things.
Therefore, if you're in that boat and confused, do not feel bad, that the
normal. Let me say the key to the film is Naomi Watts'.

In any case, I think the film fascinating. I love the wonderful visual
and rich colors and find every character in this movie
really different and fun to watch. The camera work is excellent and the music is creepy,
to Lynch "Blue Velvet". There are also some good sound effects for
help some of the dramatic scenes. In all, is very well annotated.

Like Lynch "Twin Peaks" television series, was a film in which
are mounted at the end of course Lynch thought this movie was going to be a
long, endless television series. When that did not happen,
monté at the last minute is coming to an end. That may account for some of the confusion at the end
and lack of explanations about the people
before we see in the film but that mysteriously disappear.

The theme of the story, supposedly, is a negative comment on
Hollywood and what makes people, especially those whose dreams of being an actor
are crushed.

Both Watts and the other leading lady, Laura Harring Eleana,
are very interesting to see, especially in his famous scene of lesbian sex.
Expects way, both women are chameleons, looking at times the average,
impressive at other times.

I liked this movie more in the second: that the first.
It is not just a curiosity piece, is a very intriguing film .....
simply do not feel stupid if you can not make sense of some things.
After two brief scenes that initially seemed unrelated to the rest of the
film, we see a brunette, obviously rich beauty in the back of a limousine
. His driver was arrested in a strange place at Mulholland Drive,
which is a twisting, wooded two-lane road filled with mansions
with a view to Los Angeles. Like his driver and another man in the passenger seat
to turn around to kill her, two drag racing cars in the opposite direction
come crashing into the limo. Only
brunette woman survives. She works its way through the crest of Sunset Boulevard and hides
holiday in an apartment of the woman. Shortly thereafter,
Betty (Naomi Watts), holidays niece of the woman, appears in an apartment
and runs on women dark hair, which now has amnesia. Most
the first part of the film is Betty and women of dark hair
trying to find out who she is, why people were trying to kill her and why there were thousands
dollars and a strange key in his pocket. This is interspersed with
strangely surreal about the threads of Hollywood producers and directors
, with occasional forays into a land of
hoodlums and prostitutes.

This may sound a bit complicated and disjointed, but that's not
half of it. The film is constructed so that the meaning
always be open to interpretation. It basically guarantees that you
not understand this movie and you will not have much confidence
reach their own interpretation the first time. Even if
have a lot of experience with like-minded films - as
Memento (2000), Donnie Darko (2001), The I Inside (2003) and The Butterfly Effect
(2004) - you can not understand that in a second observation, either.
The study was aware of this insofar as it had
director David Lynch writes "10 keys to unlocking this thriller"
and put it on the back of the chapter ad insert in the DVD. Lynch is a
particular provision, these tracks are almost as cryptic as the film
. It does not help when it comes to figure out in the early stages
that the structure is extremely complex. It takes a very long time
to find out which parts are supposed to be "real" and there is a complex
nesting flashbacks in some sections, with only
contextual clues that are flashbacks.

But is the movie worth seeing, or worth trying to find out?
That depends on your tastes, obviously. On a superficial level, the film is certainly
attractive if you're a fan of surrealism, despite being
tend to seem a bit slow and too disjointed to some viewers. But
those qualities, and many other aspects of the surrealist film,
typical Lynch. A Lynchian moment is the former partner in the beginning
strangely smiling almost as if they were alien pod people
trying to put on one front. If you're familiar with that style and
like it, you'll find a lot of love here, although in many respects,
Mulholland Drive is quite understated by Lynch. It is also noteworthy for
viewers who will be interested primarily in what they enjoy or simply as much as
other things, that Mulholland Drive has a very
steam lesbian scene. It is not free, although I have no problems with
free, but instead is an important hinge in the film.

Like all of Lynch's films, it's easy to become enraptured in their only
approach to every aspect of art film and its attention to detail. Some
serious student of cinema (including "armchair students" / "cinephiles")
should consider Mulholland Drive; many will love. Lynch leaves no
unmanipulated pass anything. It includes color schemes bright (for example
as the plethora of reds and pinks), with important symbolism. The
makes unusual use of sound, as the phone ringing more in carrying
scoring section that follows it (when Betty arrives first at the airport
). He directs his actors to deliver their lines in a plethora of
strange ways, such as his strange character paused. Leaving his
odd and surprising sense of humor through looming, as the name
"Winkie's" and "Hot Dogs - for roses" which provides a clue to some
the symbolism of color.

Lynch attention to detail in designing major production,
subtle clues throughout the film to help unblocking the meaning.
It is interesting to note that apparently even Lynch requires DVD
programming is unusual - there are chapters on the disc, you must either
see the film in real time or fast-forward or rewind to get < br> back to certain points. If

surrealism and veiled meaning of the film are attractive to you, or if you are alone
aficionado "puzzle", then Mulholland Drive
is well worth looking for that aspect. There is a fairly accepted
interpretation of the film, at least in a broad and generalized. I
not come to mind recalling the rule of interpretation here - worth
research, but only after seeing the film a couple of times and
have reached their own conclusions. Many articles and monographs have been
has written about the film and interpretations;
there are even websites dedicated to it.

For my money, however, despite the fact that in general love
Lynch and find many things attractive about Mulholland Drive, is not quite a 10 for me, at least
not yet (I feel that my score could still rising
subsequent viewings). For me, however, the "spin" of the film is
done much better in other works such as The interior and I
the butterfly effect. Mulholland Drive is more attractive to me by its surface
surreal touches, but the plot does not give rise to them, as well as some
Lynch's other movies.

however, Mulholland Drive is certainly recommended by public law.
If you're determined to film and do not mind having to think about what you see
(as if those two do not necessarily coincide),
should not miss this one.
