Rick Robinson is a ladder-climbing law intern from Miami with four days until the Bar Exam. Desperate to score points with his boss (McAllister), he commits to a favor he can't afford. He ends up in a rundown truck headed to L.A. with his boss's possessions, his Hollywood-bound niece, and her pet pig. Amidst hitch-hikers, breakdowns, and assorted local yokels, Rick finds love, life and maybe himself in this trans-American road trip from hell.

If only the writer / producer / "star" had the slightest idea of
limits of his acting range, and how it is perceived on the screen
(wearing glasses and a side of separation is not enough to make you see
gawky and extravagant if his face and teeth have been sculpted by the various
medical professionals to conform to the ideals of americas generics, characterless
symmetry, wrongly perceived as beauty in this
obsessively surface of society) have yielded
John Heder as the main character rather than trying to throw a goodwill Game and
create a vehicle to show ... ... well, himself.
The excellent supporting cast (Lord knows, they must be having problems
to agree with this) is lost in a perpetual struggle to react
difficulty convincing a main character unable to
deliver even the simplest line with the proper intonation, and believe me, is not
short of simple lines to choose from, as the dialogue seems to have
consists of a period of five years of age. Oh, wait ... is the same person
meant to be a writer who purports to be an actor.
It is not often that I do not see a movie until the end, but this is ejaculation
Irredeemable from the outset and showed no signs of improvement after the first hour
. Excrements.
Based on the low score to rotten tomatoes I expected very little
this movie. Perhaps it is a testimony to the likability of its stars
Mila Kunis and Ben Gourley, but I found myself smiling over a couple of times
during this road trip movie. The value of production and cinematography
are definitely a cut above.
Sometimes I worry that some self-indulgent films like this
can attract such talented production crews when perhaps most important, but less
fashion stories, never see daylight. But even so, I like escapist fare
at times like this and it is difficult to really put a value
in art.
If you're having a slow night, this will be an entertaining diversion
.
