Welcome to January, generally known as the first of the two months
consist mostly of the duds discretely study sheds in the rear of the
release slate in its multiplexes. Like a late August release,
January and February of the press in general spell 'rubbish', with the best of
only gives them a sense of relief from the heavy load, extinction
awards season. Therefore, we have Codename: The Cleaner.
It is the latest work from director Les Mayfield, a man whose previous films
(Flubber, American Outlaws, the man) is best described as mediocre
righteously. This January weighs in a jewel case of the missing
identity with the FBI espionage and Cedric the Entertainer playing
Jake Rodgers, waking up in bed in a hotel with an FBI agent dead and a cut above
Your ear. His memory has been fried, leaving him without a name and
only fragments of what appears to be a fight against secret ops mission
batting around his brain. Diane-played by Nicollet Sheridan, whose beauty has
been manipulated and stretched to the point of imitation of a mask
-Jake White Chicks approaches in the hotel lobby, he filled in some important
Details concerning his alleged marriage and the occupation of a farm
bloated mansion. All of this is a farce, however, when Jake
overhears Diane conspiracy to send Jake into cardiac arrest

banks heavily on the likability of its leadership, giving him time screen

innocence can grow tedious, Cedric's resounding Antics are nothing if not charming
. That a great leaps, often desperate, and lengths of a mine
laugh, but sometimes surprises us by shoveling
something truly hilarious. Therefore, it is a shame that the surrounding material
offers little more than static. Lucy Liu is excellent as Jake misuse of
girlfriend, Rattling off forced Punch-lines and wobbly, unfitting
"sistah" feistiness to coincide with Mrs Sheridan miscasting as the young, busty blonde
(Hence the joke, I guess, is that Mrs Sheridan arrived at his peak
forty). The fabric feels improvised, so weak that resembles
modify it according to whatever the improvisation Cedric throws in the script.
Everything comes together, like a Jackie Chan of Hong Kong action picture, with Cedric only
the show doing karate. It works, but only if
slouch in his seat and let the ears and eyes glaze over in a popcorn

In what is clearly one of the lamest and most ill-conceived dopiest
spy comedies in the history of film, Cedric plays an amnesia victim who awakens in a room
Hotel next to a dead FBI agent and a suitcase stuffed with
hundreds of thousands of dollars. Sure who he is - the
range of possibilities all the way to a covert spy at a local
goalkeeper - or how he managed to get himself in that situation, the
mystery man, Jake , Is soon to drain
forces unknown to nab him and the valuable computer chip that is believed to have in your possession
.
This is a perfectly ridiculous piece of celluloid film-losing
that is hardly worth the time it takes to see, much less comment
, the movie. Suffice it to say that Cedric has to start looking
in itself a better agent, while her co-stars - as
Lucy Liu, whose career is clearly to the greatest number of problems such as Cedric - should < br> begin the removal of this film from their professional resumes as soon as is humanly possible

Hollywood does not seem to get enough of women killed English writers.
Hot on the heels of Miss Potter, and before the movies on the Bronte,
we have this romantic confection about Jane Austen from the young
Fling with Irish lawyer Tom Lefroy.
There has already been criticized by howls of outrage that Janeites
the film is historically inaccurate. It is true that English teachers will
an adjustment in some elements of the story: at best speculative and unsubstantiated
, at worst, frankly wrong. The filmmakers
It is true that they do not have a large amount of historical material to work from.
The true background of the story appears in a couple of
letters written by Jane Austen to her sister Cassandra, and an admission by Tom Lefroy in old age

story of repressed passion and defiance of social mores
which is a work of fiction worthy of a novel in its own right.
This is not very important. Nobody in their right mind that
never accept the version of events presented by Hollywood biopic of historical

to do the minimum necessary investigation to determine the real facts

learning the guitar, or Picasso experimenting with painting, but the spectacle of a writer
seated at a table and dreaming scribbles palls very quickly.
The irony of a film that takes such liberties with the facts wild
rely on this trite old idea, no doubt, has been evident for
Jane Austen, whose mastery of irony is Rather emphasized unsubtly

and beautiful substitute for Hampshire, and the palette of autumn
-laundering is a dark green and gray properly. Anne Hathaway is an attractive
skittish and impetuous Jane, and she has an excellent
chemistry with James McAvoy, whose performance as Tom,
alternately mercurial and obsessive, is well up to his usual high standard.
Reliable support comes from James Cromwell, Julie Walters, the late
great Ian Richardson and Maggie Smith, who essentially reprises his character
of Gosford Park. The problem is that the lovers of behavior
never really convinces us that this relationship is the foundation of
after Jane Austen's literary success, and ultimately becomes a
series of implausible endings, The number of giving and Hot Fuzz
The Return of the King a deadline for their money. The young Jane Austen is not a
horrible movie, but not make the grade as a Regency Brief Encounter.
A few times you are not going to a movie with high expectations and ends up taking
meet them, but Becoming Jane is an exception in this case.

Anna Maxwell Martin is also very good as the sister and confidante of Jane Austen

The director Julian Jarrold has done a wonderful job of making a
incredible movie that will appeal to all generations.
And finally, the two are very charming leads
the heart of the film: Anne Hathaway and James McAvoy. In a word both are AWESOME.
James, but has little screen time then Anne makes you understand
mere conceit and arrogance of Tom Lefroy, his live free
attitude in life to its transformation as a man who begins to care for Jane
Austen.His chemistry with Anne Hathaway is sizzling and
a very important factor in maintaining the film's momentum.
And at the last to first lady Anne Hathaway. The lady is a marvel as
Jane Austen, her determination and spark is clearly captured by Anne in
what can be called a race very definition of performance. Not only does
one feels the pain of Jane, but not a wonder in what is
together and makes their writing through his hitch in life.It is Anne Hathaway
spirit of the picture of literary icon
which is the essence of the film.

My personal favorite horror film. From the first tracking shot
a long history of turning the end, this is the masterpiece of a carpenter.
night of Halloween 1963, little Michael Meyers murders his older sister.
-All-Saints Day eve 1978, Michael escapes Smith's Grove Sanitarium.
The night of Halloween, Michael has come home to murder again.
The story is very simple, Michael shoots and kills nannies.
No bells or whistles, just the basics. It's almost too woodbuilder
feeding atmosphere of fear that generates tension. Like any great horror film
, events are Telegraph in advance, however,
still seem to occur randomly, never allowing the audience to
opportunity to guess the film.
The dark lighting, the long-CAM constant gunfire, and (more important)
that damn mysterious create the music more uncomfortable and claustrophobic
scenes that have not yet seen in the movies. It is not a body count, but compared to
slashers of the series after this is fairly small. And that most
murders are almost bloodless. The fear is not death, but not in
know.
roundelay is doing fine. PJ Soles provides much of the film
limited humor (and one of the best deaths), Nancy Loomis
becomes a decent performance, and then, is the youngest (at) Jamie
Leigh-Curtis. His performance at first seems shy and a safe, but
quickly realize that it is perfect for the character, which is
herself and a shy, and said that he did not at all prepared for what
is expensive. And, of course, is perfectly cast Donald Pleasence as the
determined (perhaps a little unstable) Dr. Sam Loomis. Rest in peace
Mr Pleasence.
If the film has a flaw harmful, it would be the passage of time.
Since the release of this film for many years
almost innumerable clones, copies, RIP-offs, and imitators have come along and stolen
(usually bad) the best movies to almost all bits on
he has become familiar. Combined with changes in the hearing
expectations and appetites, is a big part of the film raw energy
diluted. To truly appreciate in this day and age, should be seen
as it once was, as something unique.

I was 20 in 1978, and saw at the opening this weekend. I knew nothing about
, and after growing up in the old Hammer films, followed by a period of
almost anything, this was a very pleasant surprise. It really worked! I had
check the back seat in the car, gave me a sinking feeling when I lost my
keys, etc. The low number of deaths and the relative lack of blood, compared with
Slasher post movies, I really admire how effectively created
the atmosphere and suspense kept me on the edge and made me jump in the
right places. Of course, not jump over it, but I have fun
remember what it was like watching when the cliches are now
fresh and new. I laugh at 'horror' films of años'30 y'40, but when it
again, I bet that was something. Handsome and in another 20 years, today
children are Grito / IKWYDLS, et al, be gentle and go too, at least
compared with what they have (and I) is then!
'm surprised by the number of people half my age who wish to
could have been around to see this movie when it was new!
Looking back, probably Halloween scares me more than when it was new, others have
horror movies, when they were new. Horror Films are indebted to
Halloween to break some new ground, and I can not wait for the next
horror movie that will do something on a similar scale.

Thank God someone has made a movie here that deals with drug
another thing Westie stricken children inside or pulling clowns.
This is a beautiful, intelligent, and reflection and consideration of dreams
large and small, and the dignity of the aspirations, no matter what they might be
. Brenda Blethyn and her ex-husband Frankie J Holden are both wonderful
in representing the bittersweet life of not-very-made
animators. Their lives are endangered and posters theater
anecdotes of recent triumphs, as they now lead a life of unimaginable
the monotony, she works in a canteen, and as a security guard at a K
Mart. That's the setup. Emma Booth appears, a force of the sexual life
energy and optimism, that fascinates her son and all his life turns upside down
. Without telling us more about the real story,
enough to say this is a film that works on all levels. Emma Booth
is a great new talent - sometimes beautiful and sexy drop dead, at other times
as simple and unremarkable as any girl to buy - in other words,
as a true child of that curtain background. Highly recommended.
"Clubland" is a wonderful laugh-a-loud "dramedic" tearfest sports
an astonishing tour de force performance by Brenda Blethyn who received an ovation in
Sundance'07 for its outstanding image

handsome as he strives to build a romantic relationship of their own outside their
control of the maternal influence. To reveal much more than

Blethyn turns into a show that is changing. She hits all

carried out masterfully. Wilson is surely destined to be one of the main
star, and I can not wait to appear in a leading role.
Each character has a dream, and looking to them strive
as reality comes crashing against them made a hundred and ten minutes of warm
and touching entertainment.

This film is quite good. Takes you all the way until the end. This
had a small cast, however, delivered big time. I hope it comes to the big screen
shortly. It is a must. Lance is a veteran actor who has made
some bad movies in the past, but redeems himself with this. This
think that was shot entirely in the desert and the scenes were
beautiful. I gave the movie 8 stars for its originality and
fact that you really do not know what's going on until the end.
That is the motivation to keep you watching. Want to see what is
going to happen at any moment and the next a movie that you like is that it is a good
. I had the pleasure of seeing on a site that went

the film is very claustrophobic and sometimes makes the viewer feel
arrid, but there is also a feeling of déjà vu 'all over.
Henriksen is great as Jimmy, but one can not help but feel that it is
reprising their roles as hard and Target Near Dark, respectively, but
Goss did not play its role well, even if only to walk around the desert
spluttering mundane lines Henriksen via walkie talkie.

I did not think I could go out to see a vampire movie ever
again. All have done great good use of mythology,
Francis Ford Coppola, Neil Jordan, Steven Norrington, Guillermo Del Toro and
lets not forget one of the largest F. W. Murnau.
Day 30 of the night, is a delightfully nasty horror, which has once again demonstrated

As the night begins to fall from a spell thirty days in a small Alaska town

I was able to catch this movie during a sneak preview a couple of weeks ago.
I really had no idea what the movie would be about because I had not seen many trailers
and only knew the elements of the history of
synopsis I read on Rotten Tomatoes. So I went with a pretty clean slate.
The film jumps right into things and do not really have a great
pit stops. It was subsequently charged with history and I think that is the thing
I appreciate the most about it. We are not overly weighted with sub-
emotional and strange scenes. We are given exactly what
need to form a relationship with all the characters.
The film was changed some of the book is based on.
Mainly that the main character played by John Cusack is a widower instead of
homosexual. In the end, it really does not matter the sexuality of the

This film is a real disappointment, especially if you enjoy the most
the past performances of Joaquin Phoenix and Mark Wahlberg. Both players
have built a fine body of work, and Robert Duvall is one of the best
actors working today. However, the night we fell short in many areas

the smoke and flames to eliminate the bad, when Phoenix
goes back on the field. Impervious to the heat and smoke, you hear a whisper and falls

bad friend "Bobby" (the character of Phoenix) and dies. But wait,
is no more! Phoenix drastically (in fact pun intended)
exits through the smoke to find all the other policemen already well away from the

The film has merits, as I said. This is a period piece and not make

This was quite horrible. No, it was unbearably horrible. Bad acting on all

irritating and annoying and viewers may just want to get through
their television screens and accelerator because of his stupidity. The other
only redeeming quality of this movie are the cameos of
outstanding Canadian actors, Sophie Gendron and Benz Antoine. As I
to add two more lines before it was published, I must say that I
likely to be generous by giving this movie 3 out of 10.

and we hope to see the races are successful. The plot was fine, but there were moments
in which almost brought tears to my eyes as it

I am familiar with the game. Movie genesis of video games usually do not
not bode well. However, "Hitman" surprises with the visual storytelling
and style, and the charismatic Olyphant as Agent 47. Olyphant (
recently seen in "Live Free or Die Hard") has a decidedly dark air about him,
and wisely underplays the role. It is also a surprise that Olga Kurylenko
plays Nika, 47 women must protect in the enveloping conspiracy.
Kurylenko is impressive naked, and it is surprising that she is a true and
compelling actress. She embodies vulnerability and intelligence on what could have been a victim
dimensional. Similar to "The Fugitive"
narrative pretext, director Gens quickly overlays the origins of the mysterious
47 as a young man raised and trained to become the perfect
murderer in the opening credits. Is it really a "good man"?
"Hitman" is disconcerting that in the movie trailers appear more polished
of the film. Perhaps Gens is a music video director? Or
"Hitman" is resourcefully produced in half the budget? Some of the
action sequences in "Hitman" are impressive. It is not the automatic weapons
orchestrated chaos in the Russian nightclub. The deadly fight scene with
47 and murderers of their own agency is a striking show
martial-arts fighting knife, locks, and close in boxing. Olyphant
can not be a trained martial artist, although he is a smart athlete.
slow motion and slick editing evoke the dramatic. At a very basic level of
"Hitman" offers powerful hero with his dark, beautiful women,
spectacular action, and participation in history.
As played by Olyphant, 47 is the classic hero enigmatic in the sense that
really do not know if he really is a villain from the start.
47 of paying customers is hired to assassinate the Russian president, Mikhail
Belicoff (Ulrich Thomson). Belicoff is a ruthless despot. 47
complete their mission, however, was created. Your employer reports to 47,
that there was a witness to the assassination attempt on the President's
prostitute Nika (Kurylenko). She must be eliminated. The investigation of the murder
coup is Interpol agent Mike Whittier (Scott).

credible partnership is an undeniable force.
Have a sublime chemistry that works. And 47 emerges as a hero and a man of honor.
"Hitman" is solid entertainment that benefits from Gens
style of leadership, and the star-making performances by Timothy Olyphant and Olga Kurylenko
. "Hitman" is a great story of a hero essentially a good man
great defeat evil and protect the innocent. The film is
participation of the fun.

Those who are familiar with the six Jane Austen novels that most (but not necessarily
much more) for this movie, but it's people who have experienced
book clubs that really get a kick out of it. For
audience that is not, this is still a pleasant (I hate to use the
term, but can not think of a better) Chick Flick.
As the title suggests, the story revolves around the Club meetings
book, but this is really one of the pieces of whole family. But first, the club
of books: six members are required to fill all six of Austen's novels,
each bearing the main responsibility for one, which will be discussed in six consecutive meetings
monthly at various locations (one of which ended
be a hospital room). There are 4 initial members who are known
while the other two remaining possibilities are drafted through the meetings.
BERNADETTE founder is a sophisticated woman who has been married six times and
supposedly has seen it all. His two friends are enthusiastic about Austen
Jocelyn, a woman of independent spirit and a dog breeder
SYLVIA by the profession and that on the surface has a happy family, but is in fact
on the brink of a separation with a husband who
are looking for a new relationship after 30 years of happy married life. ALLEGRA is
's daughter Sylvia, a lesbian. In these four set out to find two more members
, Bernadette has an encounter with PRUDIE, another Austen enthusiast
a husband who had just disappointed at the cancellation of his
out a business trip to Paris (in which she could accompany him), because
who has to travel with the boss to see a basketball game. Finally,
Grigg, the only male member and a "virgin Austen," Jocelyn
encounters in a bar in a certain degree of mutual attraction. Grigg

in the hope that Jocelyn will give Ursula K. LeGuin 's "The Left Hand of Darkness

It makes no sense for me to go into details.
The public will have a very good idea of what they expect to see. The six members have their own difficulties and
situations and all of them are projected through the
Austen stories and characters during the discussions. Within six
them, we can see the relationships and interactions of conflict, simply
views on the novels of much more personal involvement. Foreign
these six members of the club's books, more than half a dozen other
characters playing out a number of plays life situation with them. The
the film is light, flowing easy and fun at times. In the end,
all is well solved because there is no problem in life and
relationships that can not be set right by a well-written letter, like any
deserve Jane Austen fan can tell you. At the end of the film,
would have enjoyed would not mind so much that it has not
all went deeper.
The performances are competent and effective. Playing Jocelyn is
Mario Bello, who is comfortable with both major (World Trade Center) and
not-so-major (A History of Violence) material. Playing women
outwards fully in control, but has a lot of feelings bottled
is not a big challenge for her. Kathy Baker, whose sensual person in "Edward
scissorhands" I still remember, has an easy time with Bernadette, a
facilitating role, both in the club's book and the movie. Emily Blunt, who
communicated with "The Devil Wears Prada" as Prudie good,
a troubled wife who is being neglected and is at a crossroads.
Hugh Dancy, whom we remember as the most Galahad in "King Arthur" (2004),
is the brightest spot in the film as Grigg, not necessarily because he is the only member
men's club, but more to do with their individual sun.
Amy Brenneman as Sylvia shines, giving a little more to the role of
betrayed wife. Maggie Grace makes an effective contribution to the whole cast
with its role as the young thing quite Allegra.
As I said, there are more than another half-dozen characters, but the
one that should be mentioned is the mother of Prudie
whose mere presence spells trouble. This is only a cameo role, but when it is played by Lynn Redgrave
, you get more of their money is worth it.
I like movies with spaceships in the explosion of choice at some point.
Also, shooting, sword fighting and violent death. Oh, and persecutions of cars.
And if I can not have this, then there may be at least some explicit sex
please?
And yet I loved this movie.
I loved the nerdiness, I loved the intimacy, I loved seeing it unfold
exactly as you know is going a. And the chemistry between Hugh Dancy
and the beautiful Maria Bello crackles off the screen.

You do not even need that big of a stick. But you're not careful

This film is pure pleasure, beginning to end. I gladly relinquish one of
Man cards for me to say that. I see something with firearms in
to compensate, though.
