John McClane into service again and again in action.

This time around he is assigned to Matt Ferrell, a known hacker,
for the FBI after some senior government security mainframes cut.
McClane Ferrell and barely escape with their lives and the U.S.
begins to crumble as a country making cyberspace has been designed by some intelligent
terrorists.

It has been 12 years and several weeks of controversy here in IMDb
about this highly anticipated launch, but in this case is finally. And
does not disappoint. From the first scene to last there is a glimmer
rapid pace and many jaw droppingly spectacular acrobatic pieces. Like the previous Die Hard
entries logic is not exactly a part of the game, but
pure adrenaline-packed thrill is safe. John McClane
faced with many challenges and outrageous as before he is not down
seriously, even after getting his ass whooper. But that's McClane.
Moreover, McClane is not just as hard as ever and with resources, it is a wise ass
at the top of his game. Much of the "controversy" in forums
here about the PG-13 rating limited language (i know, I
participated in the debate), but guess what? There is blasphemy!
But that is not really what matters, John McClane is advisable ass
not fear the attitude that fans want and that is nothing more than what they receive. The
blasphemy is obviously less than in previous films, but it still has
a lot of fun moments and the famous "Yippy Kahan yay 'appointment is
here in full glory.

addition, the trick is to work in full glory with several astonishing set pieces, especially
double with a super fighter aircraft near the end. Grade-A Hollywood
chaos and destruction and little apparent CGI. As
as summer entertainment goes - forget Pirates 3 or Spider Man 3 -
this is an action film that knows when it is increasingly the top
ridiculous and spares the viewer excess, but still manages to be funny and ridiculous
. There are also subtle references to previous
Die Hard films that undoubtedly fans smile. --- 8 / 10

Rated PG-13 for violence / intense action and profanity. Age 13 +.
12 years; McClane is bald, separated from his family and
feels increasingly like an anachronism. There is a strong "post-9/11" vibration, a
muted color scheme and a strange gloomy tone that permeates
procedure. The film covers more ground (literally) that is
predecessors and the action is episodic as a result of
shoehorning a series of mini-showdowns on a plot of about
cyber-terrorists and an attempt to close U.S. infrastructure.
It handled more deftly and inventively that you might expect, but
is not an obvious marriage.

The authenticity of "hacking" that takes place is also suspect
(webcam becomes a spy-cam in the basement of a security team
obsessed nerd?) There is a horribly misjudged piece of casting Kevin Smith
as stereotypes living in the basement, a product of hacker. (The
simply not have the acting chops) Having said all this,
action sequences are first class; brutal and old school. (with a couple of
Nods to the 'new', in the form of stoicism, but sizzling Maqqie and Q 'will
parkour' crazy Cyril Rafaelli, whose incredible skill is captured
To dazzling effect of Wiseman and crew) are mainly
strong performances, especially Bruce that immediately reminds you that you're seeing
despite the McClane (slightly) language and disinfected
the disappearance of hair. Justin Long is surprising that participation as McClane
assignment / Sidekick in a role that could easily have been irritating
, and Olyphant, as the main bad, gives a charismatic performance
intense and full of humor and underestimated implicit threat.
makes an interesting antagonist, reminiscent of the Rickman '
Hans Gruber' in the original, a little less verbose, but it
charming sociopath with a formidable, sub Stare-zero. Even the
including Mary Elizabeth Winstead as McClane's daughter, (
another measure that, on paper, seemed destined to annoy) works well. She has
inherited some of his personality traits parents often amusing
effect, but the film makers (wisely) avoid the temptation to give any
'Lara Croft' type of skills in order to appease greater
demographic, which would have alienated potential
the core audience - even more than the furor over the PG-13 rating.

Speaking of classification, while the film is light on the blood and a
particular swear words, violence has not diminished at all.
If anything, McClane is actually hardened and more brutal than before.
The enemies are often dispatched with efficiency and cruelty
consistent with a man who done this before. There is also a calm resignation to
Willis' body language at times. McClane is a man who has
found no consolation in being a hero; post-divorce
and struggling to maintain a relationship with his daughter (his son is barely mentioned
) who feels he has lost things who matter most to him.
This is the single most striking change in the film. Gone is the
wild-eyed, breathing heavy, McClane frenetically to the rhythm of the original Die Hard
; Man rapping on the windows, desperately trying to signal
The fire brigade. Willis announced this malaise and subtle
effectively, prompting the character Justin Long to ask a point;
'Why are you so quiet? Have you done something before things? "The
address is surprisingly controlled and confident that the man bought
the world" Underworld "(He can be one to watch after all.) and,
for my money, offers the best entertainment of any film this summer.

There is a weight and an impact on the acrobatics and fight scenes that
comes from the actual use of stop work, so often these days
avoided in favour of scenes built entirely on the disc.

As mentioned, the tone is a bit subdued for a summer action
(despite a good number of amusing lines and a lot of
self-knowledge) that Unlike the others in the series.
There is a world-weariness among the chaos. A meditation on being
'Chico' is one of the most inspiring exchanges, and increased
know McClane in his journey through the years missing. As a result,
the public is not left to enjoy the feeling of good triumphing over evil
to end without at least one bit of remorse about the meaning of it all
(It reminded me a of the great strengths de'24 '
in that regard.). As the credits roll, everyone can not be right with the world as
would be more typical of the genre, but there are other, more personal
to savor triumphs. This gives the film a little more depth
the previous sequels, despite having some of the edges of the 'octane
word of mouth "that the film is injected.

however, this remains significantly the best
Summer Season. It is the first to truly fulfill all the promise (and probably beyond realistic expectations
) would need one second
: to determine where it might rank in the series, but is more
more worthy of the name and Die Hard remains, for my money, the undisputed champion
action between the franchises. I humbly request a more
installation where Bruce et al poured heart and soul into creating a
dignified send-off, then we suggest that Bruce McClane
to retire undefeated. The will deserve it.
