Rachel comes to stay with her Grandmother Georgia for the summer leaving some obvious problems behind at home. Her alcoholic mother doesn't even stay the night before rushing back out to California to be with her husband. Rachel shakes up the town, a beautiful girl in the boring Mormon country. Then she reveals her deepest secret to one of her new friends, and her mother comes rushing back to find out if its true. In the midst of this crisis the three woman become closer than ever and start to understand each other more.

When I saw this movie trailer, I was not at all impressed by it. When I read the comments
IMDb, the same was the case.
Ads and marketing of this movie also seems lackluster. However, I went to see the
the film as one of the reviews I have read is about "
child molestation."
The film is the story of three women - grandmother Georgia (Jane Fonda
), daughter Lilly (Felicity Hoffman) and granddaughter Rachael
(Lindsay Lohan). Seventeen years Rachael has grown to be a liar,
loose character, rebellious, ill-mannered etc.
Rachael Lilly decides to leave Georgia in a small town in Idaho - the hope that some will learn
Rachael good things from her grandmother. There are amusing moments
between Georgia and religious rebels Rachael. Soon
Rachael reveals that she was sexually molested by her stepfather
Arnold (Cary Elwes), and this becomes the intrinsic
turning point in the film. Rachael keeps on changing his statements from time to time.
Rachael is telling the truth or lie? That way the rest of the story.
The character of Rachael was very disconcerting to begin. Being
neglected, sexually active, liar, openly rebellious made us cringe
to begin. But as the story progressed, the character with such
Curiosity waiting so real and acceptable.
All actresses acted well - Jane Fonda, Felicity Hoffman, but this
very talented Lindsay Lohan captures the spectacle - all in all. Hats Off to
Director Garry Marshall to achieve such an issue of women in the forefront
and touching this sensitive issue to the fore front.
The landscape of Idaho is attracting miraculously. Some reviewer in accordance with the
more than doubled religious people of Idaho, but I do not think
no matter - there is no need to take the little things to heart. It is only a
history and projection as non-religious is not a problem, so
is projected to be religious.
generally experience a pleasant one "under the carpet" subject -
of child sexual abuse - not treated with much heaviness and darkness.

I will not lie - this is not the best movie I've seen, but it is
pretty darn good. I really do not expect much from it but in reality I
Lohan flew away. My only complaint about Lohan was his old image.
It's hard to believe that she was seventeen with a smoker's rasp and
second skin jeans. Fonda, on the other side ... is not his best work,
is completely generic. Huffman was the performance of humor, despite the fact that
little dark. His alcoholism is quite credible, except antibuse
thing. The film is fun and unexpected plot twist kept me
stringing along the length of the movie trying to get all
, but not in a way frustrating. In general I think this movie is much better than expected
and totally pleasant.
