OK, this is not the best Brooklyn-coming of age-in-the-middle-of-Wiseguys
movie ever made, but all in all I think it was pretty good.

Firstly, I believe that all acting was pretty good. In turn, high
Jerry Ferrara, "entourage" s turtle. One might think that watching
show that this kid was plucked from the streets of Bensonhurst (
where he is ... and I am too) to be in the show, and it is a trick horse, < br>, but he gave an excellent and nuanced, sweet performance of a character who
was nothing like his "entourage" alter ego. Kudos for him. I hope
forward to seeing him in more movies, increasingly as an actor. It was
likable, credible and authentic.

Scott Cahn was excellent. He played his character, one that is not new
a mob-related films, with intensity, humor and honesty. While his character may be
Carmine neighbors of a life of crime, maintained the
character in the heart of touch. I swear moments in this movie reminded me of his dad
... in a good way.

Freddie Prinze Jr., who'ds I've never seen a "real movie"
was pretty good at this. Of the three, however, it seems that most
place, but I felt tried hard and played the role with conviction. His
and Mena Suvari (another actor that I felt did not fit this movie)
romance plot was a line of the film could have done without. High
crust girl falls and inspires scrubby boy
neighborhood to shoot the stars. It has been done before, and that there was no need to be done again.
Anyway, I think that if this guy had more roles like this to him until beef,
had become a very good actor. The ADB does not now ... but he prefers to get better
make sure character-driven films like this.

Alec Baldwin, which I think is always entertaining, did a good job in this
local and district mafia boss. He did not ham or until
go over the top as it does sometimes. He did a good job that adequate
underestimated the character. He was likable, but also had to gloss over the danger of
him. Well done for this type of character.

The establishment of Brooklyn (basically visited neighborhoods in east
Bensonhurst, Coney Island, Bay Ridge and Dyker Heights) was true
(Cakes was a nice touch ... and if you're in this neighborhood,
you agree). The backdrop of the plot line "instead of John Gotti" is a
a cool to see everything around eveolve. It was not really referring to
except those not-very-great films on television
Gotti and Sammy "The Rat" Gravano. I thought it was a nice touch. Ss were
Bobby scenes with the family. Perfect! There was comedy, drama,
credible characters, and while not the biggest movie ...
Mafia-related or not ... had heart. I dug. It is worth a look.

PS. Someone mentioned that in his review, if you will be using the
Stones in his banda sonora mob movie, you should not use songs
already used in other movies Mafia. Well, to correct, the only Stones song
in this movie is "sympathy for the Devil" ... that was
to my knowledge has never been used in another movie mafia. And anyway, Scorcsese used "
Gimme Shelter" in not one but two of his films. I suppose that should be further
chastised for ripping himself off, huh?
If you like any of the (non-comical) 'coming of age "films that have
leave since the mid-eighties (Stand by Me in 1986) ... In addition, any
Alec Baldwin fans should see this. Despite that really do not feel Alec
scenes in nearly enough and could have contributed substantially this movie
considerably from their presence with 'boys' ... Even if he had been superimposed
like a ghost that "in some way influenced their decisions" ... The acting
(or perhaps cast) of the main characters is a lil 'vague
tie in time, in my opinion and left feeling something like' hey,
I am watching a movie '... that is distracting, since it is a sign of quality when
'can only' stay immersed in the story and said
literally 'forget' you're watching a film ... I even found myself
"Taking a couple of breaks (to allow the cat, take a pee, get a
drinks, etc., etc.) in some of the slower 'connecting' ... And the scenes
I am sure you know what I mean ... The sign of a really well-done movie, is
when literally 'can not take your eyes off the screen', allowing any distractions
normal to go completely unnoticed (or when
is too distracting, you lid and turn off whatever-or-
who is the cause of distraction) ... That's a great movie, and although it
do not fall into that category, is still one that should not be lost
... overlook the small 'blips' in which they operate (which does not really get a little uncomfortable and forced
in some scenarios) and "non-emotion" in a few scenes
( when I should have a lot of emotion tear masturbating
) ... And, as noted above, the "low use" of Alec Baldwin
in scenes where there could be no doubt been used in some creative
(and often obvious) means, what really have contributed to the overall
"effectiveness" of history trying to "get-said" ... Otherwise
is a worthy attempt and still stands as (other) have to look
coming of age movies ... In terms easier ... put it on your
'List-O'-flicks "and when I wanted to see the film is not available,
grab a copy of this place ... is almost guaranteed to be
in action ... and you do not feel like it was a waste for the trip "to get a movie
place" after seeing ... Just do not feel as if
incapable of emotion, when you think should be "more of this malaise 'or whatever it
... It is not you, the film is ...
