Welcome to January, generally known as the first of the two months
consist mostly of the duds discretely study sheds in the rear of the
release slate in its multiplexes. Like a late August release,
January and February of the press in general spell 'rubbish', with the best of
only gives them a sense of relief from the heavy load, extinction
awards season. Therefore, we have Codename: The Cleaner.
It is the latest work from director Les Mayfield, a man whose previous films
(Flubber, American Outlaws, the man) is best described as mediocre
righteously. This January weighs in a jewel case of the missing
identity with the FBI espionage and Cedric the Entertainer playing
Jake Rodgers, waking up in bed in a hotel with an FBI agent dead and a cut above
Your ear. His memory has been fried, leaving him without a name and
only fragments of what appears to be a fight against secret ops mission
batting around his brain. Diane-played by Nicollet Sheridan, whose beauty has
been manipulated and stretched to the point of imitation of a mask
-Jake White Chicks approaches in the hotel lobby, he filled in some important
Details concerning his alleged marriage and the occupation of a farm
bloated mansion. All of this is a farce, however, when Jake
overhears Diane conspiracy to send Jake into cardiac arrest

banks heavily on the likability of its leadership, giving him time screen
equivalent of Carte Blanche . However, when Owen Wilson of Sly, sandy hair
innocence can grow tedious, Cedric's resounding Antics are nothing if not charming
. That a great leaps, often desperate, and lengths of a mine
laugh, but sometimes surprises us by shoveling
something truly hilarious. Therefore, it is a shame that the surrounding material
offers little more than static. Lucy Liu is excellent as Jake misuse of
girlfriend, Rattling off forced Punch-lines and wobbly, unfitting
"sistah" feistiness to coincide with Mrs Sheridan miscasting as the young, busty blonde
(Hence the joke, I guess, is that Mrs Sheridan arrived at his peak
forty). The fabric feels improvised, so weak that resembles
modify it according to whatever the improvisation Cedric throws in the script.
Everything comes together, like a Jackie Chan of Hong Kong action picture, with Cedric only
the show doing karate. It works, but only if
slouch in his seat and let the ears and eyes glaze over in a popcorn
haze. It is January, after all.

In the years since the film was released, C, E has appeared in a monumental

before it begins its gradual ascent toward a degree of respectability
film.
In what is clearly one of the lamest and most ill-conceived dopiest
spy comedies in the history of film, Cedric plays an amnesia victim who awakens in a room
Hotel next to a dead FBI agent and a suitcase stuffed with
hundreds of thousands of dollars. Sure who he is - the
range of possibilities all the way to a covert spy at a local
goalkeeper - or how he managed to get himself in that situation, the
mystery man, Jake , Is soon to drain
forces unknown to nab him and the valuable computer chip that is believed to have in your possession
.
This is a perfectly ridiculous piece of celluloid film-losing
that is hardly worth the time it takes to see, much less comment
, the movie. Suffice it to say that Cedric has to start looking
in itself a better agent, while her co-stars - as
Lucy Liu, whose career is clearly to the greatest number of problems such as Cedric - should < br> begin the removal of this film from their professional resumes as soon as is humanly possible
