Truman Capote wrote the 'non-fiction novel' from which the film is drawn, using the novelist's craft to render reality. The reality was that at two a.m. on November 15, 1959 in the rural town of Holcomb, Kansas, the four members of the Clutter family were roused from their sleep, bound and gagged, and then brutally murdered by two unknown assailants. After the latters' capture, sentencing and imprisonment prior to execution, Capote researched the case thoroughly, spent weeks talking with the prisoners, Perry Smith and Richard Hickock, jurors, police, friends and neighbors, trying to unearth why such a senseless act was committed, and what society's response might have been.

Surprising, disturbing film about real life, senseless, brutal murder
a small-town family, along with the aftermath, and
examination of the lives of the murderers, Perry Smith and Dick Hickok.
No matter how much time passes, or how you see this film, still resonates
the absolute incomprehensibility of criminal acts such as
. This really marks
multiple tragedies: the tragedy, brutality and senselessness of the murder
disorder family, a farm family in decent
small town Holcomb, Kansas, and waste, brutal and sad life of
Hickok and Smith.
An interesting point is made in the film: that none of these two
immature, frightened, minor offenders have been referred
never goes through something like this alone . But together, they created a
dangerous murderers collective personality; which feeds
needs and pathology of each. They push each other along a road
"prove" something to each other. That was enough man to do so,
to carry it out, nor wants to be seen as too cowardly to complete his great
"Result" an unfortunate and dangerous residue from the desolate
life it had. These are two grown children, who live in a world of criminal
not dare kick, which constantly need to demonstrate

small-town people, who do not deserve this terrible fate.
The film also gives us a sense of the lives of young Hickok and Smith.
Perry Smith, whose early life was full of love and security, but
seen in horror as alcohol led to his family in a tragic way. Hickok,
poor and more or less left to their own devices, you can not see how they fit into it,
using their intelligence and charm to the whole world came into contact with him

An interesting, and perhaps the first, to see the death penalty, and ending
what we hope to achieve. Is this nothing but kill
revenge for a murder that rocked a nation at a time when it has not yet had to
fully assume that there may be such predators in our midst, or putting these kids
at the end of a rope really offer a deterent to
child and brutal positions of men like these? Is it possible

deterred, you must believe that it is possible that you will be caught.

When caught, Hickok believes that it can not charming actors and the way in which employees had

I have seen many movies, but 'cold-blooded' is only one class of
. Emphasis is placed on each department. The fact that it contains some big stars
helps push along the top as you pay closer attention to
characters and their history, rather than the name on the marquee. Blake and
Wilson to turn the proceedings of the stellar duo murderer. The fact that much of
movies were filmed in real places where the crime took place,
even within one's own home, add more chills. The black / white photography
darkens the mood and the photography is magnificent.
There are many outstanding works of cinema out there, but if I could only vote for a
topped the list, it is very likely to be "cold blood".
