In the not-so-far future the polar ice caps have melted and the resulting raise of the ocean waters has drowned all the coastal cities of the world. Withdrawn to the interior of the continents, the human race keeps advancing, reaching to the point of creating realistic robots (called mechas) to serve him. One of the mecha-producing companies builds David, an artificial kid which is the first to have real feelings, especially a never-ending love for his "mother", Monica. Monica is the woman who adopted him as a substitute for her real son, who remains in cryo-stasis, stricken by an incurable disease. David is living happily with Monica and her husband, but when their real son returns home after a cure is discovered, his life changes dramatically. A futuristic adaptation of the tale of Pinocchio, with David being the "fake" boy who desperately wants to become "real".

Wow! That was all I could say as he left the theater after my first
help AI I was not sure if I loved the movie or
disappointed by him, I just knew that it had a huge effect on me. Having seen
a further three times in the movie, I still find fault with him, but I keep
return to it, thinking about it, discussing, and I was left with the feeling
that, five months later, I still do not Shaked. In many
respect, this movie reminds me of Fight Club, not in terms of theme or
emotional content, but because the level of craftsmanship, the audacity of nature is
Implementation and the fact that doing something to prevent re-evaluate. All things that
is possible to comment in an objective manner (if anything ever is) are handled
expert. The performances are first class, especially Haley Joel Osment as
David, the little robot boy who longs to be human. The effects are not only
very impressive, but are integrated into the story rather than
call attention to themselves. Januz Kaminski is photography, as one has come to expect
, impressive, and the film is unusually unpredictable for such big-budget
.
In my opinion, John Williams "Result is one of its most impressive.
I heard on CD for three weeks before seeing the film, and I thought that
was fantastic, but once the film started shooting I completely forgot about
music. That says a lot about the score and the film itself. I also liked
three-act structure, where the tone and style of the film
changes drastically as the story progresses. In the first part, as one reviewer noted
, it feels like a cross between ET and The Shining, a strange, but very effective combination
. The second part of the film is awash with
Spielbergian images, but with darkness and coldness of a Kubrick film.
And the last part is a head-scratch that has the intellectual resonance
most of Kubrick's films, and the emotional tone of something like
Cinema Paradiso. I aim to refrain from saying that is so emotional as
-Spielberg films, because I believe that the director of the complexity, darkness
aspects of his style, and the occasional subtleties of his work are often
Ignored by critics.
It is difficult to discuss issues without spoiling the film, but
while many people criticize the film have several false end,
estimated that each then adds layers of good and the complexity
film has been missing has ended than before. He concluded,
in recent months, I do love the movies and that is my favorite movie
2001, even ahead of The Fellowship of The Ring and Amelie. In other

Steven Spielberg's latest film AI: Artificial Intelligence, which took
in promoting the late, great Stanley Kubrick, has caused
widely divergent reviews. And I can not help but wonder if the majority of
scathingly negative comments for this movie is not only a desire to see Spielberg
accident, as he had with "1941" and the hook.
For my money, Spielberg has done again with this futuristic science fiction
drama, no matter what the negative comments say. His
story of a boy robot (Haley Joel Osment) who wants to be a real boy
in the distant future in which humans (Orgas) and machinery (Mech) exist side by side, but not
always in harmony is largely modelled on the story of Pinocchio, although it is
in fact based on a 1969 short story by Brian W. Aldiss.
Raises some interesting and sometimes troubling moral dilemmas that few films of late
have done. Can a father's love a child, even if that child is not real?
What can happen if you want children to be real? How will the man and machine
be able to coexist?
Like all intelligent science fiction, as Kubrick's own 2001: A Space
ODYSSEY and Spielberg's own close encounters, AI compels us to reflect on where we've been
and where it could be happening. It is an incredible combination of frost
Kubrick's intellectual and emotional mind and clinical Spielberg
heart, and I think it works very well. But the forces for the viewer
not leave his heart and brain at the door, which I think is why it is so negatively
being received in this season of summer movie fare senseless.
It may be too clever for its own sake, and many do not have the
145 minutes of the patience needed for the film. I did, however, and I would call
this is an absolute masterpiece. Of every ten stars, give this one a
10.
