Mac Mckussic is an unlikely drug dealer who wants to go straight. His old and best friend Nick Frescia is now a cop who is assigned to investigate and bring him to justice. Mac is very attracted to Jo Ann, the owner of a stylish restaurant. Nick gets close to Jo Ann attempting to know more about Mac's drug dealing plans and his connections with the Mexican dealer Carlos, who the police believe is coming to town to meet with him. Nick also falls for Jo Ann's charms and his friendship with Mac is in danger.

I love this movie, plain and simple.
has a wonderful cast, strong performances (including two
excellent small roles for the purpose of Raúl Juliá and JT Walsh, both of whom died
way too young) and fantasy writing.
The landscape seems dated today, but the film is a masterpiece work
1988. Think "Out of Sight", but a few years earlier.
The dialogue is memorable as sexy Michelle Pfeiffer.
Although the plot is quite simple, character development is deep
and the characters credible. In general, is a great movie.
I recommend this film to all viewers.
The return to adult films is Robert Towne's
Tequila Sunrise.
There is more here than the average girl gets at the heart of
child of two floors. This is a very entertaining and intriguing
blend of characterizations and meaning of friendship.
Robert Towne writes well rounded characters and situations that may
on page seems fantastic, but come across very
natural on the screen. Cinematography is first-class
Conrad Hall continue to demonstrate their talent.
