The movie opens with poachers attacking a group of gorillas. Animal preservationists fight the poachers, which ends with one gorilla and a young girl's mother dead. In the melee, a particularly large gorilla baby attacks the head hunter and bites his thumb and forefinger off. The films immediately passes into the future and the young girl has grown up to be Charlize Theron and the gorilla has grown to be 15' tall and weighs 2000 pounds. The two are best friends who play together. When poachers again appear, a representative (Bill Paxton) of a California wildlife refuge convinces her to transfer the gorilla she has named Joe Young to the refuge. Of course, once there the former hunter shows up seeking revenge. Terrorizing the gorilla without letting his human handlers know, the gorilla goes on a rampage across Los Angeles.

I've seen this movie several times and I must say that enjoyed substantial
ever. Appearances by Charlize Theron and Bill Paxton
are excellent and the special effects are tremendous. The film
has a relatively simple plot, but also has some powerful
emotional scenes as well. The film is well written and directed him
ensure that appeals to children who are not afraid of Joe.
Moreover, it is not a horror film, but rather a story of a
misunderstood creature who wants to be at peace. Mighty Joe
You are one of the best movies out there suitable for children and adults to enjoy
and I highly recommended.

I saw pass a preliminary review of this film - the only film that I've been looking
interested in a long time - and I was not disappointed at all.
This is a terrifically entertaining film that is sufficiently healthy for children
but has enough action and darker aspects of interest to adults. It
Zorro as a single being entertaining, fun film for everyone.
They have done a great job of creating Joe - that seems very real and very well
interacts with the environments. They have also succeeded in giving it a personality
clearly stated - they really root for him
and is almost hard to believe that he is only a special effect and not
a living being. The children fall in love with him - and charm
concept presented in the film, being best friends with a 15-foot
Gorilla. Trailers
The first I saw this as fact see a movie action, but the current
trailers are seen as a heart,
Free Willy-type movie. It really makes it, but without being too sweet.
Many people in my audience shouted and cheered at the end. I hope this
the film does well and I would love to see a sequel. I think Joe
become a beloved figure in the minds of children.
