This is one of the best films ever made and I'm not saying that
because I am being deceived by the seemingly absurd presentation.
Those who dislike the movie because they do not understand the history
often criticize those who are praising the film are saying that
assuming his genius, because they do not understand it. I do not see this film as
very allegorical. For me, is a story with a beginning, middle and end
. People are confused by the film because they expect
having a deep philosophical meaning that they will interpret
the scenes supposedly senseless. I think we fail to realize that the
crypticness comes from a minced underway and rearranged the plot
combined with a very long and very explanatory sequence of fantasy rather than a visual chaos
allegory. Due to limited duration,
I try to keep this short and point and tap the main
concepts.
The general plot: Diane moved to Los Angeles after jitterbugging
contest to get into acting. In a test, she meets with Camilla
that falls in love. Diane becomes enraged with jealousy and sleeping with Camilla
other men and women. Diane discovers the other man (the director) in a film shoot
and discovers another woman (a blonde at random) to the party
commitment to Camilla and the director. Motivated by their fury
and possessiveness, Diane hire a hit man to kill Camilla.
After that is done, is to overcome loneliness and slides
unconscious in a fantasy world where you live the life they want. Diane is then
awoke. In his conscious state that is obsessed by what he has done.
The importance of fantasy: The film starts out, after the
credits, with a 1 st person pov someone who represents shot
collapse on a bed and falling into unconsciousness. This is where Diane's
fantasy begins. The accident is there as an excuse for her "
bring back his dead girlfriend and justify the life of fantasy. She shows
his girlfriend as gentle and innocent, because that is what she wanted was
. In the meantime, she acts as everything is "like in the movies"
because she has a personality escapist. She also, in a sense, kills
outside itself and assumes the identity of a waitress named Betty
in a dining room. The story revolves around the director is a direct result of
his feeling that he was the victim in some way, actually, like her
and was "convinced" that itself was forced to Camilla choose.
This is also an unconscious expression of lack of control in his opinion
during the festival. Camilla Rhoades in the fantasy is actually blond
chance of participation by the parties. She hated her while he was
Camilla in the past and made his antagonist. He then took the
real and Camilla became his ideal, submissive

also paints the result as a man very clumsy and unable to justify the person

unfortunately for her, was a search that ended up being
Diane and herself made the dreamworld die for taking it through a series of
reminders of reality. The first recollection was that the Club Silencio
sang that "there is no banda" and the "instruments" that you hear are not

because it shakes their perception of their environment. The
another reminder is the blue box ... In fact, the blue box is not the
reminder itself (more than a Pandora's Box, really), but the blue key that opens
box. The blue recalls its key

escape from the reality of life to which idealized Hollywood
she hopes to be part of it when he arrived.
This is a story that shows the psychology of a disturbed woman who lost
a dream. Not number of things at random
specifically designed to annoy and this is not a cryptic message philosophical. This is an unfortunate
part of the human condition that is presented beautifully.
however, ultimately, all this is my opinion. I can way to go. Or you can
not intended to mean anything. There are many who agree with me
. Great! After all, why have to say something? Why can not
just be a statement in itself? What if coherent, sensible descriptions are
shackles for artistic expression? Peter Greenaway, for example, has spent many words
eloquently support for this idea
such statements as "I would say that if you want to write stories, become an author, a novelist
not be a filmmaker. Because I believe that cinema is so much more exciting
in areas that are not primarily to do with
narrative. "And where is the written rule that everything must be immediately understandable
with only one possible interpretation?
There is no such rule, because the clarity of the film is not related to the
the art of it. "I do not understand!" So ...? "Mulholland Dr.",
history or not, affects viewers, harass them, drag them, AWES, the ranks
them. The way that lends itself to interpretation is impressive.
Never gets old. Never loses its luster. Its visuals are always effective
and beautiful. It is cinematic perfection no matter what. Enjoy.
The case of history "Mulholland Dr." is known: What should
was another trip (after 'Twin Peaks') in the field of rivals
television series ended abruptly after completing the pilot. It was too risky and twisted
for producers to an investment firm. Lynch
used all filmed and cut material and began shooting new
complete a new feature. The result: One of the most impressive experiences
film of this decade that can be
ranked among the best works of David Lynch. His previous films "Eraserhead," "Blue Velvet
" or "Wild at Heart 'to stay out in a way that irritating
hustle the viewer in the role of a voyeur, but he never
participated as part of the plot, as is the case here.
"Mulholland Dr." is a puzzle where the pieces are gone, others obviously
were taken from "Eraserhead" and "Lost Highway", but never seemed to be
unfinished work. On the Internet I found a lot of trials and
instructions to explain this movie. I know that now
loses its magic when trying to decipher it completely. All
solution detailed explanations are not only waste but also
questionable attempt to offer an answer that is not such thing
completely necessary. Imagine this scenario: A boy, this is
dissecting his teddy bear to find out where secrecy and specific
assuming that is. Is it because he wants to destroy his toy? The secret lies in the
teddy bear or indeed at the heart of the child?
Transferring this to "Mulholland Dr." which means innocence is one of the most important conditions
to see and appreciate.
David Lynch succeeds not only in the image of the surface of human behavior
life, but also to deal with everything underneath. The human desires,
dreams, fears and obsessions - everything that what is left unspoken;
emotions that are often suppressed. "Mulholland Dr." has the intensity
calls for a complete list takes issue with the substance.
Actresses and actors who are willing to follow the vision of director
selflessly.Laura Elena Harring, Naomi Watts, Justin Theroux
solve their task in such impressive form, which is unwilling or unable
imagine another cast. While his act at first seems a little
overlapping soon realize that this characterization is stereo
together with a purpose of manipulating the viewer and baffle
for him as soon as the red thread the film is visible.
When you claim the criterion of a good film made in
be able to lose yourself and immerse yourself in what you see on screen
Lynch succeeded in making a masterpiece. A modern masterpiece that are manifested in David Lynch
as one of the most important, creative and daring directors
of this. Like every filmmaker that go beyond the limits that
faces criticism and ignorance. This will fade as soon as you find the person
key to Lynch's world of films. "Mulholland Dr." is
more than a sleeper - we must see for everyone who loves
ambitious film. And besides, the film is a payment with Hollywood
in form and content, that the distinction hardly dared before.
