The Empire is more than halfway through construction of a new Death Star - almost twice as big, but more than twice as powerful. When completed, it will spell certain doom for Luke Skywalker and the Rebels. Han Solo is a prisoner of crime lord Jabba the Hutt, and Princess Leia soon finds herself in the gangster's hands. Luke Skywalker, aided by C-3PO and R2-D2, makes his way into Jabba's palace, hoping to secure his friends' freedom. But the Hutt has no intention of doing so and tries to kill them all. After escaping from Jabba and the sands of Tatooine, they regroup with the Rebel fleet, which is massing for an attack against the new satellite battle station at Endor. Lando Calrissian is pressed into action to lead the Rebel fighter attack, while Han is put in charge of a group of soldiers to take out the shield generator protecting the Death Star. Luke, however, surrenders to Vader's soldiers on Endor, and is taken in front of Vader's boss - the Galactic Emperor - on the Death Star for final corruption to the Dark Side of the Force. The fleet of Imperial Star Destroyers ambushes the Rebels, cutting them off. Worse, the new Death Star begins turning its giant laser on the Rebel carriers. It appears that nothing will stop the Empire's triumph - unless things start to change quickly...

The Return of the Jedi George Lucas was the latest Star Wars movie 16 years,
until he followed it with the disappointing prequel The Phantom Menace
in 1999. At the time I'm writing this review, Episode II has spoken and
shown that George Lucas is still capable of producing an action adventure through space
(although it also shows that he is relying too much on effects
computer-generated), and we are waiting impatiently for the release of
Episode III in 2005, the film that has a better chance than any of the
Star Wars movies since the original in 1977.
The Return of the Jedi is a film that introduces us to the horrible
Jabba the Hutt for the first time, as well as two dozen other
disgusting creatures. When I first saw this movie, the first thing I
was a huge increase in the level of gruesomeness that is in the
creatures in the film. In the first film, even the antagonist
creatures were at least slightly pleasant, but now we see Jabba, we see the disgusting Jabba
Sidekick snake with things that grow out of his head and around his neck, < br> teeth riddled hole in the ground, and the results of other disgusting things
. We also get the first glimpse badly damaged the Death Star, whose post
explosives appearance is probably even more famous as a movie
film history of its original appearance.
The Death Star is the focus of much of the conflict in the film. The
Rebellion is doing an elaborate attempt to destroy the Death Star, almost impossible
excursion that includes the timing of an attack perfectly so that
Star-combatants can make a domestic attack on the star the death only to
time that their partners rebels are on a planet near closing
the defense mechanism that the Death Star are derived from it. Clearly, this
will not be an easy thing to do, and most of the film presents
efforts to obtain all the coordinated forces to pull out this task
, with the last climax occurred as the rebel attack
coincides with the revelation that the Death Star is fully functional as a weapon despite
massive damage (a little secret tactfully who have decided not to reveal)
And are already aware of the impending attack and more than
capable of squishing all the attackers as a bunch of space-bugs.
Great story, I think. And it's a good thing, too, because he had
at least some other things that I was less than impressed with about this
particularly share Star Wars saga. The Ewoks, for example, only
does not seem like something that belonged to a Star Wars movie. I am more
more willing to accept, if not for some other reason than the fact that
are now one of the most recognizable of the old Star Wars movies
(although it seems that there are thousands of things recognisable
the Star Wars movies old), but there are several scenes of battle that
not generate much enthusiasm because of all the cuddly little bears snuggle
running. Besides, EWOK costumes were among the least impressive costumes
in any Star Wars movie until today. You can almost see
the seams along the sides, the sides were as realistic as any
stuffed animal, and the pads of their feet, which occasionally were in trial, just as well
- toy. They were little more than cheap costumes.
Moreover, the rest of the film is so entertaining that I am willing to forgive
things like this. It was 1983, to mourn out loud, so I am not about to lose
film something like that, despite both his predecessors had
universally better apparel despite being older films.
is evident throughout the film we are seeing the conclusion of
conflict between the Imperial Forces and the rebellion we have seen develop
in the last two movies, which is why we did not quite reach
great at the same level of excitement and fun of them. There are lots of fascinating characters and creatures
presented here, and some of the
scenes battles in space far superior to anything on Star Wars and The Empire Strikes Back
, but despite the fascinating history, there is only one element too
conciliation and tying up loose ends for this movie to be as
fresh and stimulating.
There is great concern in the last act of the film with the metaphorical
presentation of the dark side and the good, light, I suppose. Perhaps
the bright side? Yes, the bright side, it sounds better. The dark side
and the bright side. Luke is being held captive
Darth Vader and the Emperor and are forced to see their friends as car in a
battle, unaware that they have no chance of winning. As this happens, we
just itching to see Luke go to see that light and strike someone in
with it and do something heroic, but then the emperor begins
trying to convince him to do so. It encourages Luke to give in to their anger and
officially will become part of the dark side. It's easy to see how Vader
seduced by the dark side, if all it takes is the death of someone you
bitterly hate because they are forcing you to watch the death of his
friends. Throughout the entire Star Wars saga, one of the things I
always wondered about was exactly how Vader was seduced by the dark side,
and in this scene I found myself seduced by it because I so
badly wanted to see Lucas do exactly what the emperor was asking him to do.
Obviously, the story of The Return of the Jedi leaves little
to be desired, with the exciting battles that come from fighting between the rebels and the
Empire, and Luke's struggles against the dark side
as well as its interaction with Vader as Vader lay dying in his arms (another
largely metaphorical representation of the dark and bright sides). And
despite some elements of the film that really prevented it from increasing the level
of quality and pure entertainment that could have increased, this is a powerful
installation in the Star Wars saga. Given the relatively affected
end we saw in this movie, with all the heroes of our party and hugs to
EWOK a party in the woods (with Luke and give the smile to stereotypes
ghostly images of Obi Wan and Yoda and the image of his father
before he became Darth Vader (?)), I am curious about the future of the Star Wars saga
. I have heard rumors about the production of episodes VII, VIII and IX,
that seem a bit distant at this point, but it also seems almost as distant
old George would end one of the greatest sagas of
film of all time with the closing scene of The Return of the Jedi.
Episode VI-Return of the Jedi, but never reach the heights of
Empire or A New Hope, the trilogy ends on a strong note. The first 37 minutes
tremendous. Return to Tatooine, Luke and his friends
make a daring attempt to rescue Han from Jabba the Hutt. All scenes in his palace and
Sarlaac pit are great things and show that they offer the best moments
film. Once Jabba is ending the current plot involves
Empire (Microsoft) the construction of another Death Star. Wanting to avoid another
Alder, the rebels decide to attack before it is
termination. Lando leads the attack on the Falcon, while Han and the usual suspects
plan to destroy the shield generator on Endor. Lucas, now
almost a Jedi, must face his dad. For those who thought
Vader was evil, the emperor is far worse. As
when Episode V was dark in nature, Rotja is more suited to children. Prime
example would be the Ewoks, cuddly teddy bears to help defeat the Empire
(Blasters are no match for rocks). This is where one can find fault with the film
: cutesy bears Luke contrasts with the fight against
dark side. Quoting Johnny Cochrane Chewbacca defense: "No
makes sense! ". However, Rotja has much to offer. The battle of Endor is
things exciting, and motorcycles speed sure to see the fun (although using
in this dense forest is not too bright).
