"The World's Fastest Indian" is a unique film that not only provides a
film that New Zealanders anywhere can be more proud, while at the same time
contemplating universal themes that everyone outside the
country's borders can relate.

The family film that contains' number 8 fencing wire mentality
that resonates throughout New Zealand society - and also echoes the tropos
of masculinity that are so prominent in the national cinema: Burt
tinkers with his 1920 Indian motorcycle with the most unexpected results
using common household objects; travels to the Bonneville
Saltflats in Utah alone, to achieve its ingenuity, and that has
dry sense of humor that is familiar around these parts. It also contains the family
'men only' plea, but in a foreign country, and also touches
to another image of New Zealand men tinkering in their hangars. The
film is what I would call, brazenly Kiwi.

Great surface issues that are of isolation, alienation, and
beating the odds to achieve his dream. What I can say about "The
world's fastest Indian" is that it is very refreshing - this is not typical lower
history is a story that demonstrates that you're never too old
to pursue a dream you've had for years. It is a great
to have a protagonist who was more than the usual
in a contemporary films, and seems to give the film more than one anchor in reality.
This makes it much easier to believe in history and motivations,
and increases the sense of isolation sometimes when passing through
after his heart.

Sir Anthony Hopkins makes an amazing job as Burt Munro - New Zealand
accent is impeccable, as well as one or two vocal sounds. Its subtleties
communicate an intense psychological battle and
determination to have the opportunity to achieve his dream, and his
typical sense of humor is wonderful. I'm not sure how this
accurate picture of Burt Munro, but the screen character is attractive and strip
for the hearing in a solid 2 hours as we see Burt
battle with his demons, and the lack of people's belief in its achievement of its objective.

Overall, "The World's Fastest Indian" is a fantastic film
that New Zealand can be proud of, soaked with Kiwi humor and a character
remember that many of us our grandparents and older who
generation who never complained and got on with life, no matter what
facing. For the international audience, is a wonderful story about lower
an older man who has never renounced its
get chance to achieve his dream.

"The World's Fastest Indian" is a fantastic film, and inspired
anyone who receives a chance to see it. Roger Donaldson
continues its fine tradition of major films, and all Kiwis should hold him until
same height as do others who Fulla Jackson!
I've been lucky enough to see this movie on a Qantas flight from Melbourne to LA
in early December. My expectation was low-budget, low forehead,
attempt to make a film of Motor Sport. I was really blown away by what I saw
. Anthony Hopkins, deserves an Academy Award for
understated performance Bert Munro. Always polite, and always focused Bert's dream
get embedded in his heart and becomes his dream too. The
trip becomes the story with characters who meets along the way
get obsessed with his vision as well. The scenes in
The Bonneville Salt Flats are impressive and picturesque. I stayed with a smile
I could not get off my face and a tear in my eye. A simple film with a simple premise
becomes my "Best of" selection for 2005.
