Andrew Beckett, a gay lawyer infected with AIDS, is fired from his conservative law firm in fear that they might contract AIDS from him. After Andrew is fired, in a last attempt for peace, he sues his former law firm with the help of a homophobic lawyer, Joe Miller. During the court battle, Miller sees that Beckett is no different than anyone else on the gritty streets of the city of brotherly love, sheds his homophobia and helps Beckett with his case before AIDS overcomes him.

Jonathan Demme's "Philadelphia" throws us into a world of pain and
stark reality is that few in general and cinema. The vast
idea that a film so brazenly to have been and the difficulty of
homosexuality, Helmed by the director of "The Silence of the Lambs",
actor in "Big" and the guy who played Malcolm X, is astonishing.
AIDS is a reality and homophobia is an unpleasant truth that permeates our
"United States of americas, as well as the rest of the world. At the time
that this movie was released (circa 1993), U.S.
found solace in the idea that AIDS and homosexuality were brothers dirty in a distant
family. By placing the film in the "city of brotherly love", recruitment
Bruce Springsteen to sing the song title and having an up-and coming
stars Tom Hanks, director Jonathan Demme wisely prepared an ignoramus
americas our first, uninhibited gaze on the face of AIDS.
Tom Hanks enshrined their role in an Oscar-worthy performance, allowing us to see how

gives the film honesty. This film is highly recommended if
not for the big, but act for those who love a great story.
It's hard to say what I think of "Philadelphia". I say many people
that the best is a movie, there is less to say about it. The problem,
as this movie shows, is simply that this sentence does not work. While it is true that
for most movies, having little to say proves that
has been well done and there is nothing to complain. With "Philadelphia" is not accurate as
everything you want to do is sing the praises of Tom Hanks and
Denzil Washington.
In this film, Hanks plays Andrew Beckett, a prominent lawyer

First Things First, lets be honest, Jonathan Demme was a great opportunity
directing a film on this difficult issue, but fair play to him,
who threw away. This film is a powerful, moving, eye-opening experience that
cease further unemotional person with a tear in their eyes
at one time or another.
Hanks, in the Best Actor Oscar for this movie, is really magnificent and
worthy of his award. Washington is also superb as the homophobic lawyer who
taught a thing or two about their beliefs.
Ultimately, I think very little bad to say about this movie. In the last five minutes
seem almost rushed, and would have been nice to have seen the
Company suffer a little longer, but ultimately, this film is worth weight in gold
and worthy of all prizes collected in due course.
If you have not seen this movie before, and I know that for a boy who were only eleven years after
for the first time that this is hypocrisy, but we go out into the street and rent.
"Philadelphia" is a gem.
