A very well done film. I thought it was a fact and very very
frank account of a terrible time in Ireland / UK history.
Compared with other materials and books that I read about the
account in recent years, I would say that was probably
about as accurate as could be. Of course,
not hear the exact language that is used mainly by British commanders
during that time, but I think the film offers a very likely occurrence
of what happened behind closed doors.

'Bloody Sunday', that is, if nothing else, a film and very powerful,
depending on which side you're on ideologically, you can move
tears or incite you angry. Is this movie an accurate representation of
day? I personally can not say for certain. After reading enough
contemporary Irish history, including Don Mullan's
"eyewitnesses Bloody Sunday", I can say that both sides of the

Conflict in Northern Ireland can carry out some very dark
operations and transactions when the moment suits them. A lot of
people have asked "Where was the IRA in this" no-go zone "that
they controlled?" Well according to the book that has been asked
of NiCr (Northern Ireland Civil Rights Association) to remain in
Creggan Estate. Cooper and the rest of NiCr
knew that the march was banned and did not need to Provos
cause more problems. In addition, at that time were the Provos to a nadir of
kind in terms of numbers and support. There was a lot of hope
placed on the civil rights movement, Bloody Sunday and crushed
all possibilities that actually succeeds. The operation carried out by
Paragraph 1 was, I can only expect a "snatch and grab" operation ido
terribly, terribly wrong.
I can only assume that the nearly 10,000 people in
March (not a few hundred contained in other posts) were some
well for IRA definitely not most supporters of the IRA. Do
think most of the demonstrators who were killed to be
innocent civilians? Yes. Should the "young hooligans" have thrown stones
in the RUC and the British Armed Forces? Probably not. Does the IRA
shoot first or not Paragraph 1? I doubt that with all the confusion will

anywhere near right, or the ongoing Saville inquiry that will receive 100% or right.
But these opinions are coming from a remove of 30 years and one
fairly large oceans.
As for the film itself. I like you. James Nesbit gave the definition of a career
performance with regard to my concerns, from the height of a
emotion to the absolute depths of another. The Gerry Donaghy
accent of the character was a bit coarse, to say the least. However,
played a good victim feelings with Republicans. The charque hand
camera, that people either love or hate, has worked well in this
film. He gave a real sense of being "at the moment." Long story short
I give this film 3 1 / 2 stars out of 4.
