Massoud Amir Behrani, an Iranian immigrant, has spent most of his savings trying to enhance his daughter's chances of a good marriage. Once she is married, he spends the remaining funds on a house at an auction, unwittingly putting himself and his family in the middle of a legal tussle with the house's former owner. What begins as a legal struggle turns into a personal confrontation, with tragic results.

In a tragedy that only the likes of Sophocles or Shakespeare can
personal film House of Sand and Fog shows that some dreams into reality
can not be shared. The American dream is shattered by Colonel Behrani
Kathy Nicolo and in this film of devastating beauty. This is a film
about the incessant struggle between an Iranian man and an alcoholic
after more than a small house near a beach in California. When Kathy
lost his home county because of the mistake, Behrani buys it for the sake of money
and self pride. Their worlds collide when they realize there is no
perfect solution to this error, which ended with a tragic
surprisingly, it's worth. Putting in this movie was nothing less than astonishing.
Ben Kinglsey, as always, has played its part as if it were really in it,
really shows us their views and show their need for the
home. Jennifer Connely plays his role perfectly and showing
the spiral toward the center is facing her and how she finally took its
depression. The story was almost flawless with some money and the law
errors. However, the tragic themes of the film through the ring
however. With a little less than superior performance
Ron Eldard, the film has yet to act wonderful and brilliant film
technique. Based on the best-selling novel by Andre Dubus III,
director Vadim Perelman makes an incredible job of staying faithful to the novel, and
to use some techniques of Russian cinema to give a sense of excitement. This type of film
really tug at your heart and tears, however, is
give a sense of appreciation for human life.
Excellent performances, strong story, riveting. This story
not work without Ben Kingsley. His characterization offers complexity,
strength and intelligence. This film was well cast and, of course,
find a way to touch a cord around the world. The director showed a light touch
but when necessary to put the players through their paces as the story develops
. This is not light entertainment. This is
the human condition and how people find a way to cope with adversity or ..........
not. Better have a box of tissues because you will need to
the end of the film. They want a line more than me and is difficult to prove.
I hope this does. I recommend this movie to anyone. The proceedings
alone they deserve. To guarantee that you will not walk away from this
one without an opinion.
