Morgan Adams (Geena Davis) and her slave, William Shaw (Matthew Modine), are on a quest to recover the three portions of a treasure map. Unfortunately, the final portion is held by her murderous uncle, Dawg (Frank Langella). Her crew is sceptical of her leadership abilities, so she must complete her quest before they mutiny against her. This is made yet more difficult by the efforts of the British crown to end her piratical raids.

I was pleased to see all the good things that other users have had to say about
this super-charged action pirate adventure.From the moment they are introduced to the character
Adams Morgan and booms are roistering Result
set out two hours of rollicking good entertainment and a film that was inexplicably
condemned by critics around the world.I think mania
certainly enormous cost of the project rather than the movie yes and maybe
Renny Harlin did go over the top in this sense, but when what is
watching on the screen is as exciting as this that cares.Frank Langella made an excellent villain and their
companions were black heart as always a lot
sailed under the skull and crossbones.Matthew Modine was a bit weak as the
second lead, but strove visibly. "Cutthroat Island" rightfully belongs to
Geena Davis as she Swash his buckle with abandon throughout.One
thing however, fail to see how anyone can call Geena Davis a beautiful woman
In fact it is positively ugly here.For a real beautiful female swordfighter
leave before Maureen O'Hara in 1952 the "sword in point" ( "Sons of
THE Musketeers" UK). Ignore nit-picking critics, navigate to "
Cutthroat Island" and join Adams Morgan in his daring adventure.
Despite being fun to watch and very entertaining, this is not a film
I called back for many viewings. Perhaps it is too absurd: a beautiful woman
pirate "Adams Morgan" (Geena Davis) drilling around the world
at each step can get a ridiculous and tiresome after a while. This
only an excess of everything, almost cartoon-like.
If you have not taken sufficient action in the first hour (and does), the last half
really goes crazy with a nonstop battle scene that goes on and on and on
.
However, there are some good things to see here than in
Davis and his beautiful face. the movie was filmed in Malta and Thailand and
some characteristics of the photograph beautiful island. The ship is magnificent and
when two boats were side by side firing cannons to another,
is an impressive sight and even more impressive sound. You really need to see
this with a good stereo system to appreciate the hard work audio
here.
Frank Langella also becomes an interesting effective villain ( "Dawg
Brown"), while Matthew Modine ( "William Shaw") with chips in a co-star < br> male companion and for the good boy, er good girl, Davis character.
