Stacy Holt, an associate producer for a daytime talk show, is confounded by her boyfriend Derek's unwillingness to talk about his previous relationships. Egged on by her co-worker Barb, Stacy sneaks a look at his personal digital organizer, scores the names and numbers of his exes, and sets up interviews with them—all in an effort to get closer to her man. Her plan starts to unravel, however, when she becomes friends with one of the women.

Little Black Book is a decent romantic comedy and
is much better then I expected it to be. Brittany Murphy is Stacy Holt, a television program
talk show producers angry that her former boyfriend Derek (Ron Livingston
) not discuss his ex-girlfriends. With the help of a
co-worker (Holly Hunter), the insecurities in his Palm Pilot (the modern day equivalent of
title) and began interviewing them, only to find that some of them
are a little less "ex" she boasts. The
plot with great potential and the cast carries the movie, but decently
could have been much better. Brittany Murphy was very good at this
film and I think it will be a great movie star one day, she just needs
better roles. Holly Hunter is also very good as Barb and her
entertaining watch. Ron Livingston plays Derek and he is quite good but not memorable
. Rounding out the main part of the cast is Kathy Bates as Kippy
Kan and had fun in this movie.
I think the reason most people did not like the film was because there was no
nature to feel sad. All the characters are mean and hard
like that which kills the film. Little Black Book is a romantic comedy
in the loosest definition of the word as its darkest
a comedy and romantic comedies also tend to have likable characters. There were some amusing moments
but not enough to maintain its run time. Nick Hurra
does a decent job and steer the fate he has a great cast.
I really liked the end because it was different and it is not the typical
ending that Hollywood films usually have. Besides, if you like Carly Simon
then to their fate as his music can be heard throughout the film and
she has a cameo. Rating 6 / 10 now than in his video that may be worth a look
not just expect a lot from it.
It is very easy for a film like Little Black Book
to be quickly labeled as a "Flick Chick" starring 20-something actress
looks beautiful. But in reality after taking a chance in a genre usually
flee, I must say this was a pleasant experience.
Brittany Murphy (CLUELESS) stars as the career-driven journalist
girl taking a producer associated with a work-type talk show Oprah. One of his colleagues
producer, played by the very hot for her age-Holly Hunter
gives the usual talk about the business of how things are run.
Ideas During a meeting with Executive Producer (played by the hilarious
character actor Stephen Tobolowsky, who met last month) the idea is launched
snooping in on a Little Black Book or a boyfriend This
Century 21, a Palm Pilot.
The film manages to avoid the usual chicken-Shake the cliches and gives us a central character
with a copy of history and more than one dimension (
take that Mandy Moore). From the great banda sonora de Carly Simon (who makes a cameo
), provided the positive force of Diane Sawyer (?),
This movie has heart and a wicked sense of humor when it comes to exposing
talk shows of its secrets, lies, pure entertainment and souls.
Therefore, here is a genre sci-fi/action/thriller fan, is going to try a little harder to give
chicken-flicks a little more screen silver.
