Will Plunkett and Captain James Macleane, two men from different ends of the social spectrum in 18th-century England, enter a gentlemen's agreement: They decide to rid the aristocrats of their belongings. With Plunkett's criminal know-how and Macleane's social connections, they team up to be soon known as "The Gentlemen Highwaymen". But when one day these gentlemen hold up Lord Chief Justice Gibson's coach, Macleane instantly falls in love with his beautiful and cunning niece, Lady Rebecca Gibson. Unfortunately, Thief Taker General Chance, who also is quite fond of Rebecca, is getting closer and closer to getting both: The Gentlemen Highwaymen and Rebecca, who, needless to tell, don't want to get any closer to him. But Plunkett still has a thing to sort out with Chance, and his impulsiveness gets all of them in a little trouble.

Wow! Select this platform outside the rental because I loved Robert Carlyle and Jonny Lee Miller
'Trainspotting'. This is a phenomenal movie, but has
action, romance, suspense, intrigue and ingenuity. When I was not laughing, I was
on the edge of my seat. This is definitely a movie that is recommended to establish
people with an appreciation for intelligent dialogue and a new perspective
Century 18. This film has everything to keep me happy
!
When I sat in the cinema to see that I was waiting to see a kind of tongue in cheek
stylish action film, which had been implicated by the trailers.
however, soon became apparent that this movie is trying to be more
.
Normally, I do not approve of films that seek to entertain as many ways possible
. For example, this movie tries to mix action with comedy, romance, seriousness and lightheartedness
rough at once. Most of the time
this kind of approach does not work in movies (just look at Batman Forever), but I was pleasantly surprised

The end result is a very entertaining movie that should appeal to most mature
cinemagoers. (However, weak stomach should be warned
one or two scenes.) Robert Carlyle and Jonny Lee Miller pulled a brilliant double act
and Ken Stott makes an excellent villain. This mixed with pride
costumes and some decent action scenes, makes it a very pleasant
clock.
however, the major let-down for me here is that having 'The Lord
Highwayman "there is a real opportunity for a good dialogue, but the screenplay
was definitely lacks punchiness and there were few belly laughs.
Okay, so that the lines were not terrible but for me it emphasizes a problem
with recent British films, ignoring some notable exceptions dashes
is written today are still relatively mediocre when compared with some of Hollywood
in their efforts.
