While traveling to Rockwell Falls in an assignment of the US Census Bureau, the surveyor from Chicago Steve Kady has two flat tires nearby the small town. The local Deputy Bobby Caine brings him to the town and the Mayor Grateman lodges him in a farm, where the gorgeous Courtney Lovett lives with her mother. Steve finds that Rockwell Falls, considered by the locals as the most perfect place on Earth, has the same population since 1860 and sooner he discloses the meaning and the dark secret of their creed of solidarity and steadfastness.

Being a big fan of Jeremy Sisto, I had to leave before the Population 436.
This was very good. It kind of plays like a twilight zone episode.
Pleasant little town, what the hell is wrong with people? Being a big fan
horror, I was very satisfied with this movie. Jeremy Sisto is a great actor
, was really good here, a simple Everyman face
ever malevolence and secrecy. A surprisingly moderate Fred Durst
also gives a good performance as the deputy. In fact their presence
almost kept me from achieving this, do not worry, he is really good here.
In short these people are really sick. I recommend
see on DVD because it includes a very interesting alternative ending.
I really thought this was good enough for theaters, I imagine the lack of gratuitous violence
kept out. It's a horror movie people thought. With more terror
implied than shown. Very good. In fact, to return to the always brilliant
Sisto, I do not think that has been in
really anything bad, OK Hideaway (96) is approaching, but this is another feather in his cap
. Lets hope NBC "Kidnapped" is a success so we can see
over this excellent young actor.
Population 436 is a welcome change in the direct-to-DVD market.
It's really a good movie. Jeremy Sisto stars as empadronador
encountered in a city where the population has remained the same for over a 100
years. To say otherwise would be to ruin the film. We can say
has some elements of the Lottery, but still remains its own movie. There are excellent
twists and turns along the way and so is
brilliant. There are two endings on the DVD, but the completion of their choice
for the film was the final that he wanted to see. It's the perfect
coming to an end. Sisto and was the perfect choice to drive. The
is quickly becoming one of my favorites and rising stars that makes a lot of gender
work. The players are all first category. Charlotte Sullivan
is perfect, Peter Outerbridge has always been underestimated, and Fred Durst
can act. He's pretty good, and that'sa big surprise. If
are tired of wading through the garbage that covers the walls of his
local video store, collect Population 436. It is a welcome breath of fresh air
.
