The man did change my mind about this movie, perhaps more than any movie I've seen
. The first time I saw that I did not like it and I thought it was very
underestimated. Why give me more waiting, I'm not really
but remember that it was "just" the next time and "excellent" by the
third. I think the main reason is that I've changed my approach to the
cranky old woman (Jessica Tandy) to the long-suffering servant
(Morgan Freeman).

Once I looked across this story "Hoke County 'eyes, became a
inspiring story. Freeman's character, "Hoke Colburn,"
simply provides the best example of what the true servant of God must act as
plain and simple. It is one of the best examples in the movie I've seen of
patience, kindness, dedication and dignity in a difficult situation.
also is always inspiring to see a nice, good person and overthrow
win over the opposite with great kindness.

Another factor that has raised my rating for this movie is the latest
"-newly restored widescreen edition, which was finally presented this movie
as it must, with all its beautiful cinematography. The joint
here are great, a terrible to see the decade from 1950 through shops,
fences, cars, etc.

One thing this movie taught me: "Hoke" ; Attitude is not the only
important aspect of this story. This is how we as spectators, to see things
, also makes a difference.
Driving Miss Daisy is an unusual movie. Although it's really just more of an extended
pair of intertwined character portraits - spanning a quarter-century
- that has all the descriptions of approach and oppression
more traditionally structured mystery plot.

The character portraits are Werth Daisy (Jessica Tandy) and Colburn
Hoke (Morgan Freeman). The film is set in suburban Atlanta and
begins in late 1940 or early 1950. Daisy is rich, but she
not born that way. His son, Boolie (Dan Aykroyd) runs the successful
family business - a large textile factory. At the beginning of the film, we see
Miss Daisy, which is already about 60 years or so, have a
driving mishap - she has the car in bad art and runs out of his driveway
, almost completely over a backing of 10 feet to fall
neighbor of the road, about 20 miles per hour. Of course, this refers to
Boolie, Daisy and when you have a problem finding a company that is willing to ensure its
after the accident, Boolie hires Hoke -
also rapidly approaching "elderly" -- As his driver, the protests against him. She
not want a driver. She does not want another person at home. She
not want to be treated as if she is incapable. Driving Miss Daisy is a
exploration of the relationship of Hoke and Daisy, all the way in
early 1970.

Alfred Uhry adapted the script of a play he wrote with the same name
which was produced off-Broadway. Although the play began in a small theater
, had good reviews and good word of mouth,
must establish a way to a larger theater. Uhry
who has won a Pulitzer Prize for his work. He has said that Driving Miss Daisy
was semi-biographical about his grandmother and his driver.

This fact probably helped create the extraordinary depth of character
shown in the film, although director Bruce Beresford,
Freeman, who also starred in the play, Tandy and do something else
its share to build a charming, funny and often touching image
two very different human beings learn to see face to face.

It is significant that Driving Miss Daisy is in the South and extends
the period shortly before and after the civil rights movement in the U.S.
. And it is significant that Hoke is an African American, while
Miss Daisy is Jewish.

Miss Daisy humor is fussy, Prim and proper. Well, the audience
at least - I do not think it would be so humorous to face
. This helps to create a first "formal antagonism" between Daisy and Hoke
. Only calm and infinite patience Hoke
wins a gradual softening of Daisy's public displeasure and curmudgeonliness. The
unusual structure means that Driving Miss Daisy is more
a series of vignettes, each of importance for the gradual rapprochement
Hoke and Daisy, although most are relatively minor incidents in isolation. Uhry
the film makes a compilation of those small but memorable
important and often amusing (at least in retrospect)
moments that make up a life-telling memories in any family relationship - and Hoke < br> not become family. Finally, Hoke and Daisy form a bond that is perhaps stronger than
Daisy's bond with his own son.

As for the importance of Hoke and Daisy's ethnic orientations, Miss Daisy
makes a vocal point of not being racist or other discriminatory
. She also likes to focus on their humble beginnings -
few incidents near the beginning of their relationship with Hoke hinge on its
is ashamed of their wealth. And, of course, as a Jew in the South,
she is acutely aware of discrimination and disadvantage, having experienced first-hand
.

One of the most moving scenes of the film features Hoke and Daisy
driving to Alabama to attend his brother of the 90th birthday party.
Hoke is the first time outside of Georgia. They parked temporarily in
side of the road. Two white policemen Alabama see Hoke and throwing.
They want to know what is doing Hoke with a nice, new Cadillac. When
discover that Daisy is Jewish, are disparaging across
implicatura and, literally, make a comment discriminate against each other when
Hoke and Daisy leave. Although such events are
much more important to say, apparently stolen a can of salmon, and Uhry
Beresford tie together beautifully so that they all have
on the same meaning.

Related to these issues, the film is also charming and moving to
juxtaposing a kind of consistency staff at all times with a
rapidly changing society. That's why the profound social changes
happening "right next", so to speak, are largely kept in the background
.

Technically, Driving Miss Daisy is a gem. It is full of subtle and complex
aesthetically pleasing cinematography and blocked scenes and a fabulous
and deservedly famous Result of Hans Zimmer. But history
and performances are so good it is almost difficult to notice
technical issues.

Unless you are completely averse to anything, even a little in the field
realistic drama / comedy lightly, Driving Miss Daisy is a must-see. It
sentimental, but not syrupy and touching but not too serious - you'll
only laugh as often as anything else. Do not miss this if a
have not yet seen.
