In a distant galaxy eons before the creation of the mythical planet known as Earth, vast civilizations have evolved, and ruling the galaxy is an interstellar Empire created from the ruins of an Old Republic that held sway for generations. It is a time of civil war, as solar systems have broken away from the Empire and are waging a war of rebellion. During a recent battle techical schematics for a gigantic space station, code named The Death Star, have been unearthed by Rebel spies, and a young woman who is a dissident member of the Imperial Senate, under the cover of a diplomatic mission to the planet Alderaan, is trying to smuggle these plans to the Rebellion. But her spacecraft is attacked by a vast warship of the Empire and seized. The dissident Senator is captured, but the plans for the Death Star are nowhere to be found. While soldiers of the Empire search the nearby planet Tatooine, a series of incidents sweeps up a young desert farmer with dreams of being a fighter pilot in the Rebellion, as he winds up with the Death Star plans and also the assistance of an elderly hermit who once served as a warrior of an ancient order whose chosen weapons were powerful energy swords known as light sabers. The pair recruit a cynical interstellar smuggler and his outsized alien copilot with an ancient freighter heavily modified for combat to help them reach Alderaan - but the planet is obliterated and now the foursome must rescue the young woman held prisoner by the Empire and lead an attack by the Rebellion against the Death Star before it can annihilate all hope of restoring freedom to the galaxy.

What made this huge success is the triumph? Is the foundry,
music, imagination, ingenuity, or luck?
I remember opening day in theaters. I was old enough to remember
every scene, every character, every nuance of this film, having
committed to memory forever, as if he wanted more power
never wanted to see this, instantly beings masterpiece.
also remember that the HIT factor for this movie was so unexpected
you literally had to wait months to get the action figures promised
in cereal boxes. The pieces were still in the manufacturing process
and we had to settle for coupons promising our toys in a few months.
I wound up seeing this in theaters a total of 36 times;
much to my dismay mother. She loved the film as I did, but I felt it was
obsessed. Today, thirty years later, sitting here writing this review,
I realize how right was. I am still obsessed with this movie, and
with subsequent films that followed. I look forward with great anticipation for Episode 3
. I am a fan, and I do not care what other people say about
Episodes 1 and 2. Even account the "prequel" factor, as the
situation at the time, delivered to Lucas that films that would
first.
See, I remember him saying the studies he had to choose between the three central
weather books, and the rest of garbage, trash or simply
whole idea. The not exactly "sell", he did what he had to fazer to get your film ... his vision ... out there so we can see and experience.
I admire his decision then, and I admire now. 1-3
episodes are being filmed now, because Lucas has the power, money, patience and
to give us his vision ... its full picture and not just the three books
center of a 9-book series. I realize that at present, there are
dozen books, but at that time, there were nine. And while most of us were happy with
episodes have not lost 4-6 and 1-3 and 7-9,
Personally, I am very happy at what has taken upon himself to give us your
full vision. I have enjoyed every single payment
with the same sense of amazement and joy as I did this.
The casting was the first triumph of this landmark film. Ford is
the charismatic and magnetic personality and Han
portrayed with a professionalism that you'd expect from more seasoned actors. Sir Alec Guinness
is an absolute joy as Obi Wan. Its cast was accurate and
excellent in that part. Carrie Fisher Leia portrayed in a way that, until
until then, had never been experienced. Most "princess" types
before she lloriqueo, whimpering, little snots who were unable to
nothing beyond face and twisting his ankle in times of danger,
Fisher, while his character portrayed as a bold, brazen and yet
sophisticated and educated woman who is aware of their surroundings and
capable of defending herself and her kingdom with the highest authority.
and Mark Hamil. He was perfectly cast as lloriqueo
the little boy who wanted more but was afraid to get there. The growing very well in these
movie in three installments, and endears himself to the audience
all the more for it. However, a cast member that is almost always left
outside these comments is Peter Mayhew. Chewbacca. His character, as a supporting character
Han, was exemplary. It is not easy to portray
a carpet to walk, yet holding the attention, admiration and love of virtual
million. I am very happy about his being cast as a chew
Episode 3. Could not happen to a more deserving ... ... or capable colleagues.
Bravo! And James Earl Jones's voice being used as the voice of Darth Vader
, was pure genius. His voice commander
haunted the dreams of countless thousands of star-struck children for generations to come. I
I must also say that this movie would not have had the charm that makes
had it not been for Anthony Daniels' C3P0. He is a gift and a joy.
The musical score by John Williams appearing in this masterpiece was a
of the factors contributing to this. But honestly, this film was the success of such
total surprise to everyone, including Luke, who
nothing could prepare the world for having witnessed this
bona fide legend, first-hand.
The story itself; packed subplot after subplot, rich in detail and dialogue
, was beyond anyone older than expectations. All
including Luke, which is expected this movie to fail. This is a timeless classic,
that I will not repeat here. Too many movie reviews
giving full details of the plot, and I will not be redundant, beyond what I already
said.
However, having said that, there are some points I'd like fazer in connection with the symbolism of this company. The Force is a metaphor for the psychic abilities
with which we are all born. It was also a
metaphor of hope and faith, dedication and commitment to the highest
state of being. The Empire is said to have been a metaphor for the Nazi German
"storm troops." Although the rebellion is said to
been a symbol (which would later become) the forces of NATO
defeated.
And then there are the effects. The effects were, in 1977, so impressive;
so creative, so ahead of its time, to ensure this movie
great success for the next forty years. George Lucas enjoys an almost
Sci-Fi/Fantasy god-like status among fans around the world.
This film is not a kind of qualification. Usually, when I say this is because
the film is so bad, or disappointing that I do not have to
heart rate.
But in this case, it far outstrips 10/10 surpasses any classification could give.
