Memento chronicles two separate stories of Leonard (Guy Pearce), a ex-insurance investigator who can no longer build new memories, as he attempts to find the murderer of his wife, which is the last thing he remembers. One story line movies forward in time while the other tells the story backwards revealing more each time.

Therefore, the "innovative" concept of filming out of sequence has been
cliché for at least a few years, but here is a film that makes the job much better
which has proved in a while .
After reading the comments and talked with others who saw him, I thought that I
enter the film calculate everything immediately and declaring
concept unworkable. There could be further from the truth. This film not
things to his boss that are illegal in some countries. Portrayed (for all
effects) backwards, which obliges him to think in the same manner as
our main character, Leonard Shelby (Guy Pearce is brighter than usual
) no. Suffering from an illness that makes him unable to remember anything
by more than a few minutes, he is looking to
man who raped and killed his wife. Since not seen each lasts longer than 15 minutes before
jumping back to what happened before, our perceptions are shattered
in the same way.
Carrie-Anne Moss and Joe Pantoliano (both of The Matrix) provides a wide
actions that leave guess that, while beloved
and repugnant.
overall I left the movie trying to figure out what is, and I'm still not sure
. This film noir concept should not work, but it does
wonderfully.
Incredible, fascinating and powerful. What else could say?
This film has all the qualities of classic black cinema, as well as the magnitude of a
original, unique concept that has been tried and tired, but before
works here.
Guy Pearce has been undervalued for years (just think back now and you can Priscilla
cree that this is the same guy), and finally could get the recognition
that here at least deserved him to return
LA Confidential. Powerful performances, with well-developed story suspensful
accumulation of what our main character pieces gradually makes
this is to see.
easily in my top 100 of all time.
