Stu Shepherd is in public relations and uses lies and deceit in their daily lives
work to put things in motion. When calling a customer of a telePhone Booth in the
hope to arrive at a hotel. When the phone rings and hangs him
answers to what he assumed was a hoax call. But the caller
reveals more and more about Stu expose their lies. When Stu tries to let the caller
reveals that Stu has deposited with a sniper rifle and the death of a man in the cab
proves it. The police arrive and surround Stu
while the caller continues his game.
Everybody knows he had a small budget, a shooting window
little over a week and that was years ago and put aside Farrell as the star power
increase in real life and terrorist attacks and sniper fire came and went to the
media and the minds of the American public. So I will not dwell on that and
instead of talking about the film! The launch was enough to get me interested - the man '
is held in the sniper cell phone' - sounds great! I really wanted to see this film
, but was put off by the trailer, but not the films I saw evil in the trailer were
the detriment of the film as more than 80 minutes and that really peak
runs like a horse race.
Starting with humor and a fluid rhythm results in damage, but from the outset
keeps pace. As for the plot which has many good
twists and turns that will keep you interested and on the edge of your seat. The only question for me was
why acceptance of the sniper was doing and how they could get access to
team would have needed, as well as information -
let alone the will to do so ! Also little things bugging me, but
carries the film over these obstacles and are well enough reserves
soon forgotten. It sounds simple, but simple ideas work best and
despite being reduced by the action (sorry, boys son!) Is driven by dialogue and
simply do not know what will come later.
direction helps the film constant motion and using split screens
etc. to give the impression that much is at long last - once again that the film feel like
has a rapid pace. It feels a bit gimmicky (
especially now that we have had 2 sets of 24 doing the same thing) but it works
regardless. I wrote in a former review (8mm think) that I never pay
to see a film by Joel Schumacher never again, and I do not pay to see
Phone Booth! But I was surprised because it's not ruin! The
did a good job - yes, you heard me! His usual excesses seem to have been controlled
a good producer and editing equipment and cinematographic works - much to my surprise and relief
!
Farrell may not be a bona-fide Hollywood star but still has the task of
are on screen for almost the entire film and runs with it. It has
comically cruel nature someone who reveals himself to be a loser, but
never loses the audience - and has talent. Sutherland's voice in the trailer
has not worked for me (too slow and normal) but the film is excellent
, like the director said, no one else could have done the role, is
suitable for him. Whitaker is the third lead and he has his corner
well.
It may not be strange without the defect, but this movie succeeds in being simple and very effective
grip. Well worth seeing.
Anyone who doubts that people are so easily programmable as Pavlov's pets do not need to look more
Graham Bell the box. While most of us generally do not start
Salivating at the sound of a ringing phone, few people (less
working for a software help desk) can resist the temptation to respond.

To Stu Shephard, sincerity is little more than a vague concept. In the shadow
publicist, his life is the interconnection of networks of spinning lies
to follow the career of customers and raising their stature. In his spare time he enjoys
abusing his assistant, and ignoring his wife. Stu ie
is also determined to give an impressionable young actress in a test
casting couch. When one comes into operation the phone into a ten-block radius
in the hopes of establishing a link, the phone rings. It turns out to be
Stu's consciousness on the line. With a sniper rifle aimed at

Taking into account that "Phone Booth" was filmed in just ten days,
on a limited budget with a shortage of special effects, an actor and a single principle
place can be forgiven for questioning the potential
success of this movie. The original November 2001 launch date could
a pause - movies who sit on the shelf often do so for one reason - read
"directly to video '. In this case the studio wanted to wait until
Farrell was more familiar to moviegoers. Achieving this with a little
film called `Minority Report '(the name of his co-star escapes me at the moment
...). 'Payphone of the "new launch date had to be postponed once again after
episodes snipers in Washington. Some things are worth the wait
. Although
stole the attention as the man manic success in `Daredevil ',
Farrell
faces a different animal' Phone Booth ', one of 80 Soliloquy minutes
who lives or dies on his performance (A list of several stars left
under the project for the same reason). Reminiscences of his acclaimed as

in `Tigerland, 'Farrell confirmed that he is not a trick horse,
offering a wide display of emotions, from cocky to
cathartic without straying into
comic soap opera or territory. The offer its lines with a solid
fluidity rare among his peers, no simple feat when one considers
he is a harsh repression of Brogan. Farrell also demonstrates a
presence,
beyond mere charisma - his good looks can only inspire so much interest
long
- draw the viewer into the story.
While supporting cast - Katie Holmes as the naive naive and Forrest Whitaker as the police
good - to meet its target, is Keifer Sutherland
shown how little slack there. While the audience does not see
Sutherland, as he is widely threatening cold, otherworldly voice in
the other end of the phone. The public is never denied that he is (
`Just call me Bob
') or what their motivations are, but it's irrelevant - he sees all, knows all
, and is clearly in charge. Unlike S & M, there is no safe words. And for
control freak as Stu nothing could be more frightening
.
Although tied to a static place, deft camera work provides the action, humor and perspective
with techniques such as rapid pans, compressed
zoom
and image in image sequences, while careful not to cross the line
gimmickry. Improved sound editing enhances the visual: phones are ringing
discordant, Bob's booming voice is quietly disturbing, and the sound of a
round was chambered
is deafening.
"Phone Booth" could easily have been a novelty peculiar film played well
between the art house set. Thanks to the actions of Farrell makes for good
mainstream film (usually an oxymoron) and can actually make some top ten
lists.
