Down and out rock star Dewey Finn (Black) gets fired from his band, and he faces a mountain of debts and depression. He takes a job as a 4th grade substitute teacher at an uptight private school where his attitude and hijinx have a powerful effect on his students. He also meets Zack, a 10-year-old guitar prodigy, who could help Dewey win a "battle of the bands" competition, which would solve his financial problems and put him back in the spotlight.

After being fired from his own banda, the guitarist Dewey Finn (Jack Black
) needs to raise some money to pay their rent and their bills.
When his friend and schoolteacher Ned Schneebly (Mike White) is called
a temporary job at an expensive private school, Dewey seeks
Ned and accepts the job. Recital talented young musicians in their
class, and he decided to form a rock-and-roll band with students
and win a competition called "Battle of Bands" to raise the stakes and be
recognized in the entertainment world.

"The School of Rock" is a very funny and politically incorrect comedy
adapted to Jack Black. Stealing the film and rocks in the role of a
rock-and-roll lover, who dreams to succeed as a guitarist.
Most of the lines belong to him, and I think this movie is its
best individual performance in his successful career.
Joan Cusack is excellent as usual, Miranda Cosgrove and appears to have potential and are
great promise as an actress. La banda sonora is a great tribute to
rock-and-roll, with many classics including Led Zeppelin "
Immigrant Song". The DVD is packed with extras worth, and end this movie is an excellent
fun. My vote is eight.

Dewey Finn is a lazy freeloader and a guitarist in a rock banda
that plays concerts every night and sleep all day, his friend Ned Schneebly
apartment. One day as evidenced up late for the banda that the practice
ads for a new guitarist to replace him. Poor Dewey
feels so bad about it and also about Ned and his girlfriend
threatening to kick him out, since they do not pay any bills. After a few days
trying to sell their guitars, that is not going very well, the head of a
school calls and asks Ned Schneebly, a substitute for talent
professor with a good reputation. In a desperate attempt to get money fast
, Dewey impersonate Ned and conveniently is Professor
a third-degree (or something like that) class for several weeks
ahead. However, another of his crazy ideas strikes him and his plan to
to turn its kind in a rockband to win the Battle of the Bands
competition gets underway.

School of Rock is a great sense of humor, almost nobody
fun for all ages, children or adults. Jack Black does not carry much in this movie
his own self, but it will not be too harsh to children in the film, they did
very well also. If anyone should play Dewey Finn instead of Jack,
simply would not be the same. Given that Jack is actually a banda de rock
in real life, and has played characters in movies before they are also
in music, he just seemed to fit right into this movie.
His real passion for rock music helps a lot in this movie, and makes Dewey Finn
a hell of a good character. The plot of this movie is really good and I think
Mike White has done a great job on the script. As
Linklater made in directing the film.

This comedy should not be ignored simply because there are children there,
enjoying a hell of a lot and probably too.
