Set in Hounslow, West London and Hamburg, the film follows two 18 year olds with their hearts set on a future in professional soccer. Heart-stopping talent doesn't seem to be enough when your parents want you to hang up your football boots, find a nice boyfriend and learn to cook the perfect chapatti.

David Beckham is a soccer star and husband of British
Victoria Beckham ( "Posh Spice" of the Spice Girls). His mark is a goal shot
that curves around the field and in the network. The equivalent of football
unhittable a curve ball in baseball. "Bend like Beckham":
make such spectacular shot. Apart from that, and a little shrine
entrusted to him in the main character's bedroom and a false-
cameo in the end, the film has nothing to do with him.
The film is full of little jokes in football, as this
that one of the parents give a jersey with the number 9 on it
(owned the great Mia Hamm, who are in the know),
references to "Posh 'n' Becks", a video tribute to the Wuse
one of the characters plays for disbelieving a friend ( "* * have ??"),
lesbian jokes, sports, jokes bra, and so on.
The story is about a teenager in England and idolizes Beckham
wants to be a soccer star. She has a real gift, but apparently the two
insurmountable obstacles to be overcome are the lack of a
women professionals in the league in the UK (hence his fascination with our
WUS), and his parents, who are Indian immigrants as a whole
very old-fashioned way do not permit their daughters, among other things,
participate in contact sports. The child of the family are portrayed as figures of fun
ironic, but with great affection - think My Big Fat Greek Wedding.
The girl loves and respects them enough to go through the hell of sitcom
hide his growing stardom of football from them.
Well, first of hate comments about this thing, but I felt like I had to
stand for this movie. Therefore, many people were attacks on him and I felt
like people who might want to see that you should get a second opinion.
First, Bend It Like Beckham does not purport to be the deepest
film of the century. If that's what you're looking for
to go somewhere else. Simply because it is an independent film does not mean it has to be
artistic. It is supposed to make you feel good and you're supposed to have
fun and seeing that these two things were accomplished handily.
Secondly, the acting but not "Halle Berry in Monster's Ball"
is still good. The film is not required to act honestly as what it does not look
. It's a family film. If that is what you wanted
not or should not even be looking at this film honest.
Finally, it has a really beautiful story. I think it is well thought out and
is entertaining to watch. It is also very true to life for the most part
for that culture so if you want to sit and watch a movie that
can enjoy and feel good when you're done.
If you're looking for something with deep reflection and great plot lines
dramatic scenes this is not for you.
