13 year old Walter has had a hard life, with his no good floozy of a mother getting together with many equally despicable men. Before going on yet another husband-hunting trip, she drops him off at the house of his great-uncles Hub and Garth. They disappeared for quite a while in their youth, and are rumored to have acquired a great fortune, which Walter's mother hopes to get her hands on if he can ingratiate himself enough to the two cantankerous men. Though reluctant to put up with him at first, Hub and Garth grow to accept Walter, and even tell him fantastic stories of what they were up to while they went missing. When his mother returns, Walter must take charge of his own life, and decide what he's going to do with it.

Cartoonist Josh Lucas ( "A Beautiful Mind") receives a phone call saying that

welcome to the family oriented films that cater to all age groups. Writer / director Tim McCanlies
shows real potential here and with a lot of surprise Osment. It has its own legends

More. Definitely not a movie perfect, but it is still a very enjoyable trip to
films that are high in a year of sub-par movie. With all
Deficiencies Hollywood in 2003, the family of the films have been surprisingly
best productions from afar. 4 stars out of 5.
This movie made us laugh, and mourn. It addresses all aspects of
Growing up and growing old. It deals with the proper way to live, and
Evil.
There is some humor of the crotchety old guys and some of sadness
A child who is unfortunate to have an irresponsible mother. There
swashbuckling sword fights and several surprises to keep it
Avanza at a pace comfortable. If I tell you more than ruin. The
Surprises is what makes it so special.
The less you know about this movie before seeing the best.
Not left me feeling so good, I looked again the next night. It is a
rent.
Unless you are a very hardened person, I guarantee you will laugh
many times even the toughest and those who never cry at the movies will have a
Scowl on his face by at least once.
I plan to buy a version of this is the first chance I get.
