I believe that several others have already commented on this movie, but I liked
so well that he meant only how good a film is. I gave it a rating of 9 out of 10
. Do not get a 10 because it is very slow start.
I almost quit, but I am glad that did not. Hang in there,
worth the wait.
This is primarily a film about relationships: deception, trust and betrayal
.
Michelle Pfeiffer, Jessica Lange and Jason Robards bang do all jobs in
this movie.
Located in Midwestern farm country, Jason Robards character is a farmer whose grandfather
first settled there. Jason's character is ageing and
decides to create a trust dividing the thousands of acres of farmland between his three daughters
adult. That's when the plot of this movie
really start cooking.
Sisters to turn against each other because of misunderstandings rather than greed
on earth. We also make some discoveries about each other's
childhood, and his current marriage, including an adulterous affair,
while the father becomes increasingly abusive, demanding and paranoid - until the
terrible truth about the world is finally boiling
.
This film really reached me emotionally, I got angry right along with
some of the characters, and sad with them. I could feel their pain because of the
excellent performances that were given.
The final was a surprise for me, but on a par with the growth of
characters.
I was really hoping for this image because I learned that
Michelle Pfeiffer and Jessica Lange will star. But as time passed
to see what I have to say that was a little disappointed. I am not saying that the film
was bad, but the fact that I expected much more from him, I do respect
an average movie. The address was very poor and unacceptable edition.
Adaptation seems to lack in many ways and Jennifer Jason Leigh
was unbearable. But seeing Pfeiffer ang Lange together on the screen made me forget everything
. These two great actresses once again demonstrated his talent. At
see them together on screen you forget all the inconveniences
the film and there is nowhere else you want to be. Both deserve Oscar nominations and
Lange probably the prize as well. Jason Robards,
although not as good as in some of its previous functions was too great.
