(comedy, romance)
This is the story of two New York divorce attorneys (Moore, Brosnan) who are often competing against each other, but end up in a relationship nonetheless. When they get married, can they avoid the same issues at home that lead people to provide them business at work? One of the central cases in the story is the heavily-publicized divorce of a rock star (Sheen) from his wife (Posey)...

I found this film through work in film (I work in care).
I enjoyed how much I took my wife to see the next night and she enjoyed
. This is a film for people who are in love and / or
thinking of getting married or are married. Despite its
of humor is a serious message that is, not everything in life is easy and you need to
be willing to compromise if you want to find happiness with which you
love. Not all reviews of this film have been positive. My belief is
these critics are not people romantic. This is a very hard movie to dislike
if you are a romantic person, my wife says that I am. I look forward to
to purchase on DVD I recommend you do likewise.
Audrey Woods is one of the best, NAY, the best lawyer in the divorce
people. She has never lost a case and that is about to continue that
winning streak with his last case. When she meets her opponent
a lawyer who has no reason to believe that this man scruffy
poses any threat to it. When his hands to his ass that intensifies competition
and so begins a tense relationship in the courtroom. However
outside the court, the couple found a certain chemistry between them growing, but
surrounded by so many divorces and arguments
how could anything good come from it?
billed as a big name romantic comedy in the mold of Sparky
screwball romances of the forties and fifties this comedy is sometimes very funny but in other
falls terribly flat. Given what was to base itself
that should be no surprise that the first half was the best with strong
duelling between the two drivers. Later the script has to deliver a credible romance
outside this and here is where it really fails. This
suddenly becomes twinkly this issue in Ireland, where love blooms,
but not really, though perhaps. This is a difficult obstacle
for more and the film is not really managing the third and final
is very unconvincing and difficult to care because some cups
its way towards the inevitable conclusion. It is strange that the script McKenna
is so slippery when it is in the "banter" stage but with such heavy syrup
and silly cliché towards the end, as almost all the talent was < br> in the first half, leaving nothing for the final stages.
Brosnan and Moore try to make it work hard and mostly they succeed, but
material gradually leave the weather. Help
that together achieve an easy but later chemistry in the film
they do to convince the struggle with the more emotional side of the
characters who exist outside the Fizz and snappy exchanges.
Brosnan does well for the majority and charms his way through Moore
but can not seem to slide between the levels of the film - which works with the snappy comedy
things but when things come emotional that seems to drift between
rom-com level acting and trying to go deeper. Support
Sheen, Posey, Fisher and some others add some limited value
around the edges, but none can stop the script falling apart since the strike.
overall then what starts as a reasonable dating from screwball romances
gradually becomes an unconvincing, silly and sentimental
matter that even the big name stars can maintain a above the water.
Not really worth seeing for that reason.
