Alan, son of a Toy Store owner, tries out some new action figures: The Commando Elite vs. The Gorgonites. What he does not know, is that both sets of toys were designed to move, talk and play back. The Commando Elite's purpose is to destroy the Gorgonites. Unfortunately, the toy designer who was responsible for the programming, bought highly intelligent military computer chips that are usually used for steering missiles - and are able to learn. Now, the Commando Elite, led by Major Chip Hazard, is up to destroying the Gorgonites, led by peaceful Archer, who hide in Alan's parent's house. Now, a battle, in which the destructive ability of creative computer chips against creative computer chips with a different attitude comes to light, is about to begin.

I'm not really sure that this movie is intended. Sometimes
film seems to be a child and at other times it seems that for adults. But
however, I loved the movie. I thought it was a fun
history.
special effects alone are worth seeing the film. It is really surprising how
fluid circulation and toys of life are like little toys. Moreover, I liked
Gorgonite the various characters, all of them seemed quite
one.
The cast is quite good too. Phil Hartman is quite funny in the movie, as
than usual. Kirsten Dunst pulls off a great performance. The rest of the cast is quite good
, as well: Gregory Smith, Jay Mohr, David Cross, Denis Leary,
and Kevin Dunn, to name a few. I really feel that the actors in movies like this
not receive the credit they deserve because they are acting against small
little harmless metal platica animatronic or toys or, in some cases, nothing at all against
. Therefore, just keep in mind that when you're watching this movie.
The voice talents in this film are also quite good, with plenty of big names including
to go around Tommy Lee Jones, Frank Langella, Ernest Borgnine, Jim Brown
, Bruce Dern, George Kennedy , Clint Walker, Sarah Michelle Gellar,
Christopher Guest, Michael McKean, Harry Shearer, and Christina Ricci
.
This film is nothing more than a fun movie, there's nothing terribly deep or
amazing about this movie, just enjoy it for what it is. I do not recommend this
all, but if you read the description of the plot and interesting sounds,
then by all means, check it out. If you do end up seeing the film, I hope you enjoy

Who would have thought? A "family film" that does not suck! Small Soldiers,
while not perfect, is still a lot of fun. It's success is entirely down to
Joe Dante, a man with an obvious love of classic b-grade, sf,
horror and exploitation films. Not surprisingly, began his career with Roger Corman
. Small Soldiers is basically a variation on his previous Gremlins (
cute, seemingly harmless, kiddie objects easily run amok), but I liked
more.
You can always say how smart is a film for their support cast, and
presence of the legendary Dick Miller (Dante a pet), Phil Hartman,
Dennis Leary, and Mr. Show's David Cross, not to mention the tremendous
voice talent, just to emphasize how small cluey soldiers. And any movie with girlfriend
Frankenstein references gets my thumb! I hope Dante
Dick Miller brings back to the big screen soon! We need
him!
