The wide generation gap between Tess Coleman (Jamie Lee Curtis) and her teenage daughter Anna (Lindsay Lohan) is more than evident. They simply cannot understand each other's preferences. On a Thursday night they have a big argument in a Chinese restaurant. Both receive a fortune cookie each from the restaurant owner's mother which causes them to switch bodies next day. As they adjust with their new personalities, they begin to understand each other more and eventually it's the mutual self-respect that sorts the things out.

This is the third adaptation of the novel by Mary Rodgers. Lastly,

But the best thing about the film is mounted to the casting, with insurance

"Bringing down the house" which came out earlier this year. Most comedies
today seem to forget that the basic premise of their existence is
audiences to have fun and entertain them at the same time.
Mark Waters, the director proves that he has a good sense of how to do things
constantly move in this comedy about changing identity. Of course, this movie
would not be half the fun is no Jamie Lee Curtis, who has never been
