Things don't seem to change much in Wabasha County: Max and John are still fighting after 35 years, Grandpa still drinks, smokes, and chases women , and nobody's been able to catch the fabled "Catfish Hunter", a gigantic catfish that actually smiles at fishermen who try to snare it. Six months ago John married the new girl in town (Ariel), and people begin to suspect that Max might be missing something similar in his life. The only joy Max claims is left in his life is fishing, but that might change with the new owner of the bait shop.

"Grumpier Old Men" is equally entertaining sequel to "gruñón Old Men".
Jack Lemmon and Walter Matthau return as John and Max, who neighbors for a long time
in this movie have reconciled their friendship. Ann-Margret is back as
Ariel, John's new wife. This is Burgess Meredith as Lemmon corneal dad, and
Also returning are Daryl Hannah and Kevin Pollak as Lemmon's daughter and
Matthau's son who now are engaged each other and help their parents find
to plan their wedding with some strange ideas. But the real scene
thief in "Grumpier Old Men" is the wonderful Sophia Loren as the new Italian
Women in Wabasha, Minnesota. Loren plans to convert the old gruñón
man's beloved bait shop in a "ristorante," as she says. The grumps
not like a little patience and try to lead his outside the city, but just fall
Matthau. It's great to see Loren get a chance to do comedy, and she
receives its share of big laughs throughout the film. This film, and is
predecessor, once again, will be remembered for what it is a great team
Lemmon and Matthau.

This film is frankly hilarious with tons of good line.
Walter Matthau and Jack Lemmon (may they both rest in peace) are two of the funniest
players in history. Nobody else could have played Max & John. Sophia Loren
remains one of the most beautiful women in film history!
One of the funniest scenes is when he says "Holy Moly" after being kissed by Max.
