One of the best film by Spike Lee has created. Denzel Washington plays
Bleek Gilliam, a musician selfish that only listens to his music.
the cheats his wife and wants to focus only himself. For its
road to redemption that encounters betrayal, lies, greed and
before he finds happiness. A happiness that comes at a very high price. Denzel Washington and Wesley Snipes
give excellent results in their duties.
The support cast also give tremendous performance in this film
. The supporting cast includes Giancarlo Esposito, Samuel L.
Jackson, Bill Nunn and Spike Lee. Spike Lee gives
these characters enough personality to keep this entertaining movie. Each member adds
enough color commentary to the film that became a joyous event
start to finish. Add this movie to your collection if
video has not yet done so.
The film opens in 1969 with young Bleek practice his trumpet (and showing
not promise). Your friends will want to go out and play, but his mother insists that
practice, although his father would have let him go
.
Bleek practice paid off. He is a talented trumpeter as an adult with a talent
if only moderately successful banda. The music in this movie is
wonderful, and the acting fairly good (Denzel Washington and Wesley Snipes
probably do not know how to play their instruments as beautifully as what
could hear, but that is false). As usual, Spike Lee appears in the film
. In this case, he is the administrator of the group, which has a gambling problem. I liked
Dick Anthony Williams as the father of Bleek, and I liked Samuel L. Jackson
at first, playing one of the bad guys. I was disappointed when he left
so quickly, but when he returned was so unpleasant that he wanted
had not returned at all.
Apart from music, I did not see much reason to feel encouraged by this
film. I'm not sure what that means, but the only two white men with lines
came across as cartoons, in stark contrast to the well-played
blacks. And there were two women with white lines, a waitress who
what seemed sufficiently intelligent based on their one or two lines, and the other a mixed
French woman (who was supposed to be educated, but does not seem < br> that way to me) members of the banda does not seem to approve of his colleague
data. I do not mind, however, when Spike Lee tackles racism in their films
because he makes valid points. My goal
to watch a movie Spike Lee is to be educated instead of
entertaining. I think this movie achieved that, but not as well as some other
.

Curiously, the film ends almost exactly the way it began, with the exception
Bleek is an adult whose son is practicing the trumpet , And this time the boy reaches
