The decadent life of novelist Catherine Trammell (Sharon Stone) continues int his sequel that finds her in the opening sequence speeding through the streets of London using the hand of her obviously under-the-influence soccer star boy friend to masturbate herself. After the car goes out of control, she manages to escape but he drowns leading to an investigation of whether she had in fact murdered him with an implication that he was already dead before the car even entered the water. Officials bring in a police psychologist (David Morrissey) to determine her mental state. Obsession sets in and the psychiatrist is drawn into her manipulations and dangerous world. As deaths occur around the pair involving acquaintances of both parties, including the psychiatrist's ex-wife, the story twists (and doesn't answer) to make you wonder who is committing the crimes. David Thewlis also co-stars as a perhaps corrupt police inspector and Charlotte Rampling appears as a colleague of the psychiatrist. Contains frequent nudity, depiction of orgies and graphic sexual encounters, constant profanity and violence that is mostly committed off-camera.

Stone seems to be a strong figure only consists of "seven deadly sins."
She is bold and brazen in their taunts, the temptations and commands
… She never shown any remorse, and remains, once again, one of the classic femme fatales

< ; br> "Basic Instinct 2" is just unwatch, because the stone is very
winding, confusing and intensely fascinating in the way that makes
side issues through dialogue that seems foolishly open and penetrating …
It's hard to believe, after waiting 14 years, closing with
this piece of trash cinema. The original was a huge impact,
dark thriller that achieved "cult" that demonstrates the fine art of
as film directed by Paul Verhoeven. This film adds nothing, nothing
offers, and ultimately ending with the large box of non-sequels.
The opening sequence could have triggered a series of intriguing plot
using a considerable evolution talented and capable cast. Unfortunately
we are treated to 90 minutes a dissertation on self-indulgent life
Catherine Tramell ... or is Sharon Stone. Possibly one of copulation
both.
If the desire is too see a continuation of the provocation sensually
stying of sex as "BS1", forget it. You wind up with soft-porn
boredom that ultimately upholds the old adage that a woman may be more attractive
on clothing than outside them. It is interesting to note that the
wonderful Charlotte Rampling was romping around in his skivvies, across the
1966 Georgy Girl, Mrs Stone when he was only 8 years old. An actress
very talented and very able to hold its own even in this case.
If you're a true fan of cinema then you must see this film and judge
is using its own rating system. If not, you might as well wait for the DVD
in "nominal" version "unrated" version "collector"
edition, or "final" version, and perhaps in another 14 years,
be saturated with news of "Basic Instinct 3" at which point Ms. Stone
will be 62 years and nobody really care.
