Synopsis: When a young man he moved his family from New York to London
his wife discovers a new power that threatens to tear the family apart. As
his wife's behavior becomes more erratic and violent, our hero accepts that
to save the woman he married he must take a leap of faith.
Plot / History: From the beginning you get the vibration of a "Rosemary's Baby"
type of film. A simple pair of moving into a new city, but things are mysterious
lurking. This was one more in his face showing you the bad
things that were happening, no mystery about what was in the basement and what
held.
Pace: Not boring moments, not choppy history. He grabs the
start taking you for a ride and not leave it until the very end
.
Cast / Characters: Performances well done by all, was impressed with the
acting abilities of the main characters involved. They gave variety to their
parties to make every autonomous.
F / X: I must say, though the film was well done
I was a little disappointed by the effects in the movie, or rather, only the lack
.
I was expecting more of a demonic transformation of women possessed,
expecting a bit more gore thrown in. Yes, I know it may be better
to leave things to your imagination, but Sometimes you just need blood
thrown in her face.
Jekyll Final Thoughts: A fun movie that make you think twice
before moving to a new home. I hope that whatever Robert Pratt
has in store for us on the line. This film gets a rating of 4 stars from me.
'London Voodoo "is a story about a New York company that
moved to London with his wife and son. The wife discovered the remains of a voodoo temple
in the basement of his apartment in London with
very predictable consequences. While voodoo is normally associated with
the Creole culture in the southern United States, London's vibrant
Afro-Caribbean culture also maintains some remnants of voodoo
practices. The minimum cultural differences between Britain and the U.S.
raises the question of why U.S. needed actors in this movie
in the first place. The act is totally amateur and unconvincing. Movie fans
are sympathetic to what the film is trying to achieve. However,
this movie is intended to negotiate the basement.
