A philosophical burlesque, Human Nature follows the ups and downs of an obsessive scientist, a female naturalist, and the man they discover, born and raised in the wild. As scientist Nathan (Robbins) trains the wild man, Puff (Ifans) in the ways of the world - starting with table manners - Nathan's lover Lila (Arquette) fights to preserve the man's simian past, which represents a freedom enviable to most. In the power struggle that ensues, an unusual love triangle emerges exposing the perversities of the human heart and the idiosyncrasies of the civilized mind. Human Nature is a comical examination of the trappings of desire in a world where both nature and culture are idealized.

As he managed to do in Being John Malkovich, Kaufman brilliant writer
success in creating a completely credible alternative reality, he
used as a metaphor apparently pokes light (and, therefore, lethally
Subversive) fun in 'society' - what it means to be civilized, which means
to be free, how people judge each other based on
ridiculously superficial differences in appearance, etc., etc., works because it is so bright
Kaufman, and I left the theater with the same feeling he had succeeded
Being John Malkovich - inspired and satisfaction that someone like this not only exists in
but in reality the world comes to putting his unique and totally inflexible
visions on the screen.
"Human Nature" will inevitably be discussed in comparison with 'Being John Malkovich
', and comments will be along the lines of 'coherent'
' It is not likely to be the most commercially successful ", etc., but these must be
reasons not to see this movie? Only if you want to miss most intelligent film that
exit from BJM. Forget about 'A Beautiful Mind, "which gives the appearance
intelligence flaunting pseudo-math guru, but it was just another
sappy story of' the triumph of human spirit."
What makes the "Human Nature" and BJM a cut above the usual drivel film, which is really
attempt to enter some serious philosophical questions.
BJM delves into the personal identity, while 'Human Nature' digs even deeper
within our underlying ... Human Nature. What makes Human Nature
better than animal nature? civilization? language? manners? And fazer these distinctly human characteristics actually make us better, or simply different,
or different in a bad way ... that is, by making us carry double life, tearing our
initially are united in inharmonious halves (subjective / objective)?
And we can unite our duplicitousness simply forget the language,
civilization, and uses ... returning to nature? Or, with a philosopher
who receives a wink intent to "Human Nature", Wittgenstein, are we stuck in
language, banished forever from the Garden of Eden?
This film raised all these questions and more, for me ...
which is what I expect of a good film: not just entertain us, but
invited to join us in training. As far as these questions, challenges
us to respond to them and ask questions of our own ... This means that
have to do again to enable it to continue the dialogue. Now that the
what I call interactive movie-going. Philosophy has initiated some
great things in history: religion, government and science. So I think that is not his
asking too much to films to participate in philosophical debates and trying to
include the audience, rather than the public as fodder for
the box office.
