200 years in the future a Martian police unit is dispatched to transport a dangerous prisoner from a mining outpost back to justice. But when the team arrives they find the town deserted and some of the inhabitants possessed by the former inhabitants of the planet.

It's funny how people try to intellectualize this movie, but
controlling the details (do not like the way that pistol,
do not like this attitude of the actor, blah, blah ...) should try to
stick to the Star Wars universe, or at base-ball, or even your car
proceedings. No matter how the car is class, dudes, is the fun of
the journey that matters! I mean, why try to do in this regard:
"vampires on Mars" (*** 's good!) Carpenter always make sure the
tension, the pulse of his y su banda sonora film (which is always
doing the same) are just right. No computer-assisted, free
striking effects never be at the centre of attention while watching
his "work". I feel good after seeing them, because I have paid for
: good IL 'entertainment.
Carpenter is a craftsman. On Saturday what he is doing and that is good.
If you want to make chairs, you can still sit them in the next century.
And that's why people will continue to watch their movies over and over again
again, like I do. They are his "B" movies. A B-movie: a film with a view
trashy, not always in favour, departs, criticizing
of society that reflect our fears, has a Punky-ish attitude. You get a
hero who takes drugs does not become a zombie! (Groooooovy! Open
mind you! This is the sixties once again!) You get a sense of desperation,
everything is narrated as a flashback, as far as we know from the outset that goes
to live and who will die.
(spoil the: Everything is resolved by the destruction.) Remember 'Live',
Snake Plisken ... Anarchy! We know that the real zombies are from
Romero. You see, it's all about the heart, feelings ... After years of
Star Wars re-hash, can still feel something?
A fresh new look in the history of Mars, this time foreigners are ghosts.
A lot of action sequences. Fun, smart and very entertaining. John Carpenter
has surpassed himself in one and this is my favorite of his films. I am
We look forward to Part 2. I think this will become a cult classic
(
bad ratings now, but in coming years that will change, like the evil
Dead
did). If you like science fiction and / or the horror that is sure to love this movie!
