Elizabethtown is a mastery of subtlety, rather than a movie to escape reality is a movie that allows you to examine your account. At first glance, the characters and the plot can be dismissed as "two dimensions" and "without incident", but that is not the case. Like people in general, Kirsten Dunst and Orlando Bloom are the characters fighting in the interior of the awkwardness of life. Both are struggling to differentiate their public persons of very specific emotions. In the discovery of each other, find a way to do just that. The film is one more than the opportunity to examine and understand the characters - which holds a mirror so we can all see the light on the plains and the fights themselves facades. What each person gets out of the film is unique, but the message of the film is to leave baggage and live life without fear. It is an optimistic film, and was almost cathartic healing for both the public and for the characters.
No other film captures the wonder and sweet, sweaty palms innocence of new love better than Cameron Crowe. Crowe unique vision of the world, the U.S. and pop culture is not naive - that is aware and recognizes the flaws and horrors of the world around us, but somehow sees beyond his job ... is the simple joy of being in love, of being alive, of the gentle eccentricities of humanity. Elizabethtown and I love him is his masterpiece, a funny, moving silently, Rockwellian Dunst comedy with a glorious turn by a pleasant one by Bloom. Many people fall in this film - like a symphony, with many movements and complex orchestrations, and certainly not without flaws (long Sarandon tap dancing final), but when all is said and done Elizabethtown is a warm, endearing and romantic celebration of life and love. As usual, Crowe brings his passion for pop music to the forefront, breathing new life into lyrical classic rock and obscure B sides. I LOVE what you did to Lindsay Buckingham acoustic version of Fleetwood Mac Big Love.
Hello ... I loved this movie. It will stand the test of time and Crowe, God willing, is an artist to be equally appreciated.
