It seems strange to me that we live in an age where scripts for
as mediocre thriller "Firewall" can draw a big name like Harrison Ford
, while this little gem apparently goes unnoticed. However,
not let the absence of a list of names of Hollywood that no longer control
out "Already Dead" because Ron Eldard and Til Schweiger
are perfectly cast here. Never heard of them? Do not worry - you probably recognize
when you see their faces and, if there really is a God, it
before heading much bigger movie.
What's fantastic about "Already Dead" is that it does not waste time
enter history. The film begins with the events in motion.
Our first scene introduces us to Thomas Archer, a man obviously in some
degree of emotional turmoil, as he walks through a train station with a large bag
. What's in the bag? As he makes his destiny
his journey to the audience is given brief flashbacks that bring you up to speed
of what has already happened. Since the current events unfold,
the flashbacks continue until they intersect at a specific point and
Thomas Archer is a terrible decision.
I will not mention more than ever, because for me, one of the
highlights how it is progressing. Another consideration in IMDb
cited the lack of surprises so I wonder if we saw the same film
. I am continually asked about the motivations of certain characters
(in particular, the nature of Schweiger, who is
known simply as' The Man ') and so I predicted never happened (yet
Yet fully satisfied me). I also have to disagree with another reviewer
of the Committee that the movie was "slow in the middle." I do not find all that
. Despite
"Already Dead" is a very polished production, is
deliberately filmed in a very crude form that uses mainly hand
cameras to make you feel as if you are thence
Archer during the film. Good performances by the two leads, as well as support
actors (Patrick Kilpatrick and Christopher Plummer) ensure that you are
broke out. It also manages to not outstay its satisfaction;
there certainly were not any moments I found myself looking at my watch.
If you like intelligent thriller with lots of action, I definitely recommend checking
that "Already Dead". I also recommend reading
not about the plot beforehand. Look no knowledge of what is happening and find
be pleasantly surprised.
After reading the reviews here I did not expect much from this
movie, but I have to say that definitely surprised me how they
underrated this movie is.
this film has no big name players, but the act is definitely solid.
Til Sweig is not a great actor, but it's a hell of a lot better than some larger
. The special effects, directing, shooting and all
par with great films. In general is a very solid film. Nearly dead
has a great plot and makes good mixture of action and thriller
moments. There is a good way to tell some of the turns without
that contains spoilers, but its definitely a must watch for people who
as shelter and Rambo.
