Commandant Eric Lassard, the head of the police academy, has reached mandatory retirement age, much to the delight of Captain Thaddeus Harris, who is planning to take over Lassard's job. Lassard and a handful of the Academy's former students travel to Miami for a special ceremony where Lassard is to be honored as the Policeman of the Year at a convention. Along for the trip to Miami are Moses Hightower, Eugene Tackleberry, Larvell Jones, Debbie Callahan, Laverne Hooks, Tommy "House" Conklin, and Commissioner Henry Hurst, along with Harris and his right hand man Proctor. A jewel thief named Manny has smuggled stolen diamonds in a camcorder. Manny's suitcase is accidentally switched with Lassard's identical suitcase at the airport in Miami. This gets Lassard and Harris kidnapped by Manny and his two henchmen Julio and Pete, with everyone, including Lassard's nephew, Sergeant Nick Lassard, in pursuit.

Police Academy 5 is without doubt the most fun of the Police Academy
Series - in fact I did laugh a few times, twice more than the
rest of the series combined. However, it is still a terrible movie that
should be avoided. The act is evil, there are simply too many
Joking that are not even remotely funny and address
leaves a lot to be desired. The basic plot of the police is to descend
Miami, where they are mixed in a web of kidnapping. Police Academy
As usual Bubba Smith, George Gaynes, David Graf return, but there
Steve Guttenburg not this time. If you want to lose 90 minutes
his life watching a film in the series see the one, but otherwise
stay clear.
For fans of the series, this is the point when everything started to go
Evil. Mahoney and Zed jumped ship leaving two enormous gaps in
Issued, and their replacements are not good enough. Of the remaining
Issued, most seem bored with the formula, and only Proctor and Lassard
Harris seem to be putting in any effort. This is to ensure that most of them were
laughs. The plot sees conscripts flying to Miami as Lassard
retiring and holding a big party for him. When Lassard
accidentally takes a stash of diamonds with him, the thieves are trying to follow
help their diamonds before returning kills his boss. They
Eventually kidnap Lassard thinks that everything is part of the celebration, police
And the race to get him back, along with his nephew Nick Lassard. Naturally
Harris and Proctor are about to sabotage things.
Addition to the notable loss of Bobcat and Guttenberg, we are missing
Kirkand family Sweetchuck, Fackler, and all citizens of the Patrol
Except House. Tackleberry, Hightower, Jones Hooks, and Callahan
all seem tired and are only to say a few lines and show once again
Their individual traits in the declining quality of the comic. Lassard,
Proctor, and Harris get the best laughter, and at least try
with their performances. McCoy Guttenberg as a replacement is weak, lacks charm
And his tricks are not so amusing. Everything is becoming increasingly
Child, and the entire movie looks and feels like a series of short
Sketches. The bad guys have their moments, and there was a moment worthy of the parties
1-4. Part 6 would be better, would be 7
Bulk, ensuring that should have left at 4. However, now that
8 has been announced, and with the recent resurgence of this type of
Riddles, which can be good. Tackleberry though is gone, and one of the entrances
